Sadly I was only here for a night but it was spectacular. Sarah greeted me and showed me to my room which was spotless and plenty big. I would even go as far as saying it was the best night's sleep in a long time! ||The food in the restaurant was lovely, plenty of choice, piping hot and fresh and very reasonably priced. ||I am already thinking of when to come back for a longer stay and I would recommend it to anyone!

We live locally and since Lauren and Ben have taken it over we have seen a good pub/hotel become an excellent one. They are working very hard to please both locals and visitors. The welcome and service are superb and Ben's food is delicious. We enjoy a decent choice of well maintained and perfectly served local beer. The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. My wife and I are delighted and proud to have The New Inn close to our home and visit as often as we can to enjoy good company and hospitality.

What a fantastic stay, I cannot think of a nicer dog friendly place we’ve stayed at. |The Staff are absolutely fantastic and can’t do enough for you, in particular Lauren who runs the place and her other half who is the Chef. On that note it’s a gastric delight, hints of Korean (that in my opinion could be expanded as I love it!) as well as brilliantly cooked Pub fare. |The room was also of a high standard and turned down everyday. As part of the charge for a pet we received a “Doggy Welcome” pack of a bed, treats and a towel, again something of an extra we’ve not had before at a minor cost. |Local walks are on the door step with a bus service should you wish to travel without your car. |I should also add that this is a locals pub, those that drink in there are extremely friendly, to a point of asking me to move there!|Overall a 5 ⭐️ experience, again thanks to Lauren and her team for a fantastic stay.

Called in for lunch as we'd heard that the pub had a new couple running it and the food was extremely good. We were not disappointed, the property is very well presented, maintained and aesthetically tasteful. Greeted by warm and friendly staff, we ordered drinks and chose from the menu. To start we ordered the crispy chicken wings to share then for mains, fish pie served with seasonal vegetables and lamb pie with mash potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The chicken wings were both delicious and very crispy and both main dishes were cooked to perfection, the ample sized fish pie was packed with prawns, smoked haddock and salmon. The lamb pie was packed with tender juicy lamb and served with a small jug of very tasty gravy. Excellent! We shared a homemade dessert which was equally delicious. We will be back to try the Sunday roast very soon.

Had lunch today at The New Inn ,Yealand. It's a lovely old pub and clean and nicely decorated inside. Nice pub garden. The service was friendly and efficient. My husband had small fish and chips , which he reported as good value and tasty. I had the crispy, sticky beef with a chilli sauce on a bed of salad, with fries. Unfortunately the batter was not crispy as stated on the menu, but soggy and pale. I did eat it , but gave the waitress feedback which she passed onto the chef ,who just said thanks for the feedback! I would have expected a sorry it was soggy rather than crispy as described on the menu. I should have spoke up earlier I know.

We stopped off for 1 night whole traveling back from Southampton to Glasgow, to break the journey. The New Inn is 5 mins off the M6 so very convenient. We had a warm welcome, and were shown to our very comfortable room. The bed was huge, warm and cosy, with a spacious ensuite bathroom, a big bath, a very nice rainfall shower and big fluffy bath towels. The Inn was busy with a band playing in the bar and the restaurant doing a roaring trade. Breakfast was a full cooked English, hot, plenty of it, and very tasty, and served by friendly staff. |I would highly recommend The New Inn, and we look forward to coming back!
