My elderly mother & I stayed 5 nights (22-27th June). Twin deluxe room on the ground floor. Lovely sized room with comfortable sitting area. Fabulous bathroom with a walk in shower. (Shampoo, body wash & hand wash provided) Everything in the room was spotlessly clean. Tray with kettle, tea, coffee & milk provided & decent sized mugs rather than the usual small cups.|Breakfast was very excellent. Porridge recommended! All the staff very very friendly & helpful. |Very easy to find & close to junction 36 on the M6 but absolutely no traffic noise. Easy access to anywhere in the Lakes.

We stayed here for an old car event with our daughter and our golden retriever. The room we had was excellent and right by a side door for those early morning walks. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfy. as was the sofa bed our daughter slept in. The staff were so, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Dog treats were in our room and on our breakfast table each morning, as well as a mat we could borrow for our dog to lie on.|There was ample parking and the meals were fantastic and extremely generous portions. I can thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely room and good food , very pleasant staff. The only small criticism is that the walls between rooms are rather thin - I was woken by room next door using their bathroom at 3am. Overall a great place to stay and I would stay again.

This hotel is situated well for travel as its close to the motor way. They have a nice big car park, so no problems parking. The room we had was nice, with quality furniture. The bathroom had a nice shower, but lacked a big mirror. This made shaving difficult. Breakfast was nice with quality ingredients, but booking a 9:15 slot meant that we only had the dregs off the fresh fruit available and all but one yoghurt had gone. The hotel is nicely decorated, with nice staff. I'd stay here again.

Nicely decorated hotel with a pleasant ambiance and physically very comfortable. We had two very good restaurant meals in the dog-friendly bar on the evenings we stayed, friends enjoyed theirs too. The dogs were accommodated with no fuss. We also attended a function, again efficient and friendly staff, a no-fuss approach and very nice food. ||A big shout out to the really helpful staff who dealt with an issue we had promptly and effectively - thank you front of house staff, and the gentleman who went to a lot of trouble to keep us updated and helped out. ||Looking specifically at the bedrooms, the USB plug in the light next to the bed is really useful, there are 2 conventional plug sockets in the room which is just about enough. There was a hand mirror on the bathroom shelf, a larger wall mounted mirror at face height would be really helpful.| |We stayed during a heatwave, and the bedrooms were very warm, the layout of the hotel means there no breeze can reach the windows in the run of ground floor bedrooms that we were situated in. We were lent a fan (again thanks). ||The weather is clearly beyond the hotels control but I was dismayed when the heating came on late in the evening - presumably on a timer, even turning the radiator valve off did not stop it heating up. It was the last thing we needed and must be expensive for the owners too. ||All in all a pleasant stay, great food, good staff team, bedroom a bit too warm on this occasion.

The place is very easy to find and accessible by car, it’s just beside the road and it’s hard to miss it. Parking is free and there are lots of space available. However, the place might be packed when guest are there for dinner.

Room wise, is clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Something to note is that if you are staying there, it’s better to make reservation for dinner and the place is very popular and there isn’t eateries nearby.

One shortfall is that the service level depends on the crew, which could be lacking at times, especially when you are sitting right at a corner that’s out of sight (out of mind).

Very clean and well appointed hotel. Staff very attentive and courteous. Food excellent but be warned large portions! Very large car parking area so no problem with an influx of 30 cars plus many trailers. |The only criticism is that the walk in shower in our room involved a step up onto a very slippery shower floor. It was even more hazardous getting out without slipping.|However overall a very pleasant experience.
