I often stay at this hotel on the last night of my business trips. The staff are always friendly and kind. . The hotel is spacious and well looked after, and the rooms I’ve stayed in have always been clean, comfortable. They are one of the few hotels that give me additional towels when I ask in my booking.||The food is consistently good. I had a soup starter recently that was genuinely outstanding — far better than you’d expect from most hotels. The restaurant overall is very good, and breakfast is always enjoyable. Again, the staff really stand out for being approachable and helpful.||It’s one of my favourite hotels for business travel. As a Rewards Club member, I also earn points with each stay, which is a great extra.

We absolutely love our yearly stay at this hotel! It’s my daughter’s favourite hotel stay too! Greeted at check in by friendly staff with a welcoming smile, always valued as an IHG member and ensured we are always well looked after! Staff go above and beyond to make your stay special!

Our room was so spacious and with the most beautiful view out of the window. Although there was only 2 of us, you could easily sleep a family of 5 with plenty of room. We always love the smaller rooms we have stayed in, but this room added a special luxury to our stay this year.

We also have so much fun in the pool room!

We had dinner in the restaurant and as always the food was lovely. The young man hosting the restaurant really went above and beyond to ensure all our needs we met and did it all with a smile. My little girl loved playing on the park outside while waiting for her dinner.

Great place for a stopover on the way to Scotland especially if you are travelling with a dog which was why we booked. Our dog sleeps in a crate when travelling, and the room was specious enough for this. As an IHG club member we were fortunate to be given an upgraded room which was clean, didn’t smell of dog (thank goodness!) and was well appointed with a stocked fridge and a Nespresso machine. My only negative comment would be that it was a little tired and the large desk chair was well worn and needed replacing. Breakfast spread was excellent, with so much choice. Dinner menu was extensive, but quite difficult to find some healthy options but what we had was enjoyable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely walk along the River Lune behind the hotel - perfect for stretching your legs after a long journey and for dog walks. |Would stay again en route to Scotland.

Disabled parking right outside entrance to hotel. Check-in was easy by friendly lady on reception. Lift in reception to all floors. We didn't use any bars or restaurants but they looked nice at a glance. Room felt fresh and clean and the bathroom was nice with a good sized shower. Wifi worked great and easy to connect to. Didn't use tele so can't comment on that either but there was a decent sized TV in room. Beds were very comfortable, bouncy but not too firm and not too soft, perfect. The only thing I didn't like was the pillow felt too dense and heavy that wasn't too comfortable on my ears. I would definitely stay again for a quick stopover if in the area. Hotel is also pet friendly for us to bring our dog along with no extra charge for her.

We had a lovely overnight stay here yesterday. Young man on reception called Paul was very friendly and chatty when he checked us in . Room was nice and clean and beds very comfortable. I had asked on the reservation for a written happy birthday message to be in our room when we arrived- I was a little dissapointed that it wasn’t there but 10 mins later a staff member came to our room with a bottle of Prosecco and wished my husband a happy birthday. I hadn’t expected this at all and it was a lovely gesture. Breakfast was lovely and a great selection to chose from , both hot and cold. My kids loved the pancakes and same man from reception was a waiter during breakfast and made a big fuss of my kids telling them the pancakes were all theirs! He really stood out amongst the staff and is brilliant at his job.
Only downside of the stay was that the pool shut at 7.30pm when it says 8pm on the room sheet and on the leisure suite door. Had we known this we would have got in sooner- we only got to the pool at 7pm!

Hotel has just enough parking late at night. Checking in went OK. For some reason allocated a dated double double bedroom (room for 4) located on the 2nd floor. For some reason at 8.30am cleaning tried to enter my room. Obviously, not happy so wasn't dressed or had gone downstairs for breakfast. Breakfast was a you expect providing a wide selection. OK, last minute booking but atmosphere wasn't right.

A decent if a little dated Holiday Inn, or perhaps tired is a better word to describe it, the lobby may have had a make over in the not to distant past but that dosn't change the fabric of the building and while the rooms are clearly well maintained they just feel a little, on the, well tired side is a good way to put it.
The food was to a very good standard for this type of establishment, nothing particularly outstanding but consistant and filling so whats needed really.

First time using Holiday Inn Good things are Spacious room with great standard Comfortable and clean bed & pillows , and towels ( a big and a small for one person each )Has kettle and tea/ coffee with treats ( biscuits)Has a hair dryer and an iron with an iron board inside the wardrobe.It has a round table and a sofa chair on top of a worktop table and chair .It has a small gym , a swimming pool and jacuzzi .Can include breakfast and dinner ( has restaurant) and can order to the room ( room service) I only brought bed and breakfast and breakfast is great choices and plenty. Even for gluten free options! Bad things Hotel lift has broken and put me on 3rd floor but I can request the staff to give me on the ground floor ( said last room / no other choice) twin room . It is better to write the request that in the event of lifts are not working to give ground floor or lower floor.Kettle has no sieve ( may be broken before me. )The sofa chair has a stain before me .Overall very good service and great room and has good facilities.
