Can’t recommend this hotel enough. From arrival where you can leave your car in the car park (just register at Bagdale Hall) to check-in which we were able to do at 1pm (again at the absolutely stunning Bagdale Hall), to the lovely little room with all the required amenities you need on a short weekend break (more tea and coffee than I’ve ever seen in any of the leading branded hotels) and the extremely friendly, not to mention helpful staff both at check in and working the bar at Bagdale Hall. Lovely and clean. Highly recommended, fairly priced and so convenient to explore Whitby! Will definitely be returning again the future! Thank you.

Great location very close to the harbor and bars and restaurants. Rooms are adequate, furniture is a little outdated but for spending a night or two it’s fine. The shower is great as well. Word of caution if you are expecting an elevator, there isn’t one so carrying your case up the stairs can be tough if it’s a big heavy case. Definitely worth the day. Don’t forget to check into Bagdale Hall on arrival.

Lobster Hall sits a few minutes’ walk up a hill from Bagdale Hall hotel, which is where you check in. It’s in a great location, a short walk from the centre of Whitby. |The Hall has a free private car park for guests. Inside, the rooms aren’t huge, but we found our room a perfectly good size for a few days. Furnishing is basic but clean and in good condition. There was no wardrobe; instead a wall bracket with hangers, which was okay for a short stay. The shower cubicle was small but the shower was powerful. The room was very well stocked with tea, coffee and shower gels. You have the option of requesting housekeeping each day. |The TV reception was very poor and unwatchable; although this didn’t really cause a problem as we were out of the room most of the time. When we reported the issue to reception, we were told it was due to some work being carried out on the transmitter. |The room was warm and could probably get uncomfortable in summer without a fan. |Overall, Lobster Hall is close to town and offers comfortable rooms, with dedicated parking at a reasonable price and I would recommend it for short stays in Whitby.

Neat, simple and clean, the port town of Whitby has some cool things to see and do. Plenty of good spots to eat and the accommodation was within walking distance of it all. Fairly priced for what it is. If your after luxury accommodation this might not be for you. But if your wanting something fairly priced with a spot to park your car then lobster hall is perfect. Just be aware the accommodation doesn't have a reception in the building and you need to walk down the road to one of the pubs and see the receptionist there for check-in, would recommend being clear with your arrival time when you book and arriving punctually as I do not believe the desk there is manned 24/7.

When we arrived I was very impressed. Spotlessly clean with a very generous supply of tea and coffee. The Hall is only 200 yards from the centre so is ideally situated. The Manager who did the check in was very efficient and friendly. The first night was very good but the second night was disturbing. Unfortunately we were allocated room 23 which is next to the door entrance. A couple having a domestic came in at 12 shouting and swearing, their car was revving in the car park. More guests came in at 2am and some more at 4am. I would recommend this acomodation but please avoid rooms 22 and 23 so you are not disturbed.|
