We stayed at 9 Poppy Cottage which is a dog friendly 2 up 2 down cottage in really well kept condition. Great internet and TV to keep the kids quiet when we were exhausted after a day out. Comfy beds and lovely walk in shower. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need for cooking. Comfy sofas and very clean. |Location is perfect - 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk into Whitby centre. |Recommend for families, loads to do and we were never bored for 7 days! On site well kept shared indoor pool was fab and only £20 all week for each family which is a bargain!

We stayed at an Adventure cottage no 17. Warm and tidy. 3 bedrooms good with 2 adult sons. 2 toilets always good. Our bedroom on ground floor so I didn't have to climb the stairs so often. Kitchen is small but don't come on holiday to spend my time in kitchen. Location quiet and peaceful. Some decoration issues, but not concern enough for holiday. Our main issue was that our autustic adult sons settled well.

We had the best time at Marton Cottage has been really decorated lovely and facilities offered were unexpected - Ninja, Coffee Machine etc. I know this isn’t the norm for other cottages and probably the reason why Marton Cottage is always busy 😌 ||We walked on the Cinder Track which is located perfectly on site. A walk to Whitby is 25mins, with Robin Hoods Bay about 5miles (but the views are amazing and it is worth the walk) ||We hardly used the car, but when we did we travelled to Pickering & Scarborough. Pickering market is on a Monday! ||Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back!

I have stayed on this complex of cottages a few times and it never disappoints. Beautiful scenery, peace, walk the viaduct into Whitby and a private pool. Not all property is managed by the company but if you see the larpool lane address it will be wonderful. No 36 is my favourite.|Just perfect.

I came to stay here for my birthday with my partner my two children and her two children for which we stayed in a three bedroom cottage. The route to the cottage was decent and we utilise the on-site swimming pool for the several days that we were there. The views of the river and viaduct right next to the base are stunning as all the local walks which could be had into Whitby within half an hour.||Corm Daishen itself was well presented, clean and tidy. I would highly recommend using this as a base for anyone with a similar number of people to accommodate in the area.

The most disgusting place I've stayed in years.|The house is so run down it's ridiculous. |Everything was dirty ,the floor filthy and the carpet has strange stains.|Blinds are broken and don't open properly and you can’t use the shower unless you are under five feet tall.|The bed creaks, the floors creaks, the oven stinks.|The storage heaters and fire don't work, fortunately it was may! |Nothing appears to be PAC tested either.|Ended up leaving early and putting in a complaint to Hoseasons. |Avoid number 18.

Clean, comfortable cottage. Had everything we needed, great location for exploring Whitby & further areas. Lovely walk along the Cinder trail into Whitby.|Site was so peaceful & lovely to watch the steam trains go by.|Eating out would recommend Cosa Nostra Italian in Whitby and a few miles drive to Egton The Wheatsheaf Inn was standout.|Definitely be back

We have stayed at CCH 5 times now, this cottage was decorated and finished to a good standard, beds were comfy too. My sisster and bro in law stayed in no. 29, their experience was very different! None of the heaters worked, control knobs had been removed so they could not be turned on, it was quite chilly and they ended up spending their evenings with us to keep warm! The cottages on this site vary, some are very good, others not so much, it's the luck of the draw. The site is in a lovely setting below the old Whitby - Scarborough railway line which provides a paved green lane into Whitby. We love it here but be warned, you may not get such a good accommodation!
