We stayed in this beautiful guesthouse for my birthday. We stayed in the Sea Biscuit room and stayed for 5 nights as we wanted a base to explore other towns. Very comfortable beautiful room with an ensuite. Attention to detail was spot on, biscuits, tea and coffee facilities in the room. Bed was very comfortable. Had some flowers on arrival at my husband's request which was a lovely touch. Rob really looked after us, lovely host and enjoyed some lovely chats with him and the other guests. Breakfasts were amazing! Better than some of the 5* hotels we've stayed at. Only gripe was, and I hate to say this after having had such a lovely stay, we felt Anita was quite curt as we were leaving (didn't have much interaction with her before this point). We left a card to say thank you and as we were checking out we seeked our hosts out to hand over the keys and say thank you & goodbye and she seemed very disinterested and barely acknowledged us and left a strange taste in our mouths as we left. This just surprised us a bit as the rest of the stay had been so nice. But overall a lovely stay.

Anita & Bobby were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. Their establishment is bursting with warmth, charm, and character on every floor and wall.||||Our room was absolutely beautiful—spotless and stylishly decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and immaculate.||||The facilities in the room were thoughtfully designed, accommodating for anyone staying there. We appreciated the little fridge stocked with complimentary milk and water, along with a coffee pod machine, biscuits, and chocolates.||||Every morning, the breakfast room was a lovely haven to start the day. It truly was charming.||The breakfast menu was mind-blowing with a variety of cooked meal options, plus there was always fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries available for those who preferred a lighter breakfast.||||A special thank you to Anita & Bobby for the generous and thoughtful gift of Prosecco for my partner’s birthday. ||||Simply the best.||||We will definitely be staying here again!

The breakfast and the hosts are magnificent. Nothing was too much trouble and very knowledgeable about places to see. The room was well equipped and clean. This is absolutely genuine review and this was a return visit. Even the weather was kind.

What a gem! My husband booked this for 2 nights for my Birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Our room was spotlessly clean, with a comfy bed, and awesome bathroom! There were also lovely little touches in the room to make it extra special. The hosts are so friendly and always happy to help. You have probably seen from the other reviews, the breakfast is awesome! We didn’t need to eat all day and looked forward to it every day, deliberately not eating too much the night before!|The hotel is in a great location, we could get everywhere on foot. Cannot wait to go back.

Thank you so much. |We had a lovely stay for my birthday in the gorgeous Ammonite room. Very clean and comfortable with king size bed, tea and coffee. Large en-suite shower with complimentary shampoo etc. |We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts Anita and Rob, and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Very generous portions of excellent home cooked food. |Nothing was too much trouble.|The house is perfectly situated for the west beach and about a 10 minute walk into the harbour. |Parking either on site (3 spaces) or with the permit provided on the road. |Great value for money and I can’t forget the little touch of the chocolates in the room ||We cannot wait to come back.

What a gem of a place. Bob and Anita are fabulous hosts, the room and bathroom were spotless, lovely toiletries. Bed very comfy and a breakfast to die for - close to all amenities in Whitby- what’s not to love about this little gem of a place - free parking as well. Definitely will be coming back - it knocks the socks off hotels we have previously stayed in. Well done to Bob and Anita for creating such a warm friendly place to stay.

Bathroom shower was amazing and lovely products to use.|Loved the complimentary chocolates. |Bed the comfiest I have stayed in .|Breakfast was really tasty and plenty of choices.|Nothing was too much trouble Bob was a fantastic host.|Quiet location and no more than ten minutes to the heart of Whitby. Would definitely stay again
