Another first class experience at this fabulous country pub. Louise and Gav are personable, genuine and professional. The food was exceptional as always, Louise is a great host and made my mum and aunt feel at home. Gav served up a first class roast as part of a 3 course set menu. The cauliflower cheese is the best ever! The only problem is that we live 90 minutes away but it’s always worth the drive. Happy Easter!!🐣

What a fabulous pub. Absolutely beautiful inside and out.
There recently just for drinks after a gruelling day.
Warm, friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere, great beer, lovely garden.

Came here for a Sunday roast and, unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the high price. £38 for two courses (main plus either a starter or dessert) would have been reasonable if the food had been exceptional, but it was just average. Service was friendly but very slow, and we waited a long time for our food. We were also overcharged by £25, though we caught it and it was corrected.

On top of that, the sticky toffee pudding came with an unusual ice cream flavour that didn’t complement the dessert at all. Overall, while the atmosphere was nice, the experience didn’t justify the cost. Wouldn’t rush back.

We had a fantastic meal this evening. The vegetarian option was divine. Lovely staff. The quality of the food was excellent. Really nice touch when presented the bill in a butterfly book. I would definitely recommend.

We have eaten several times at The Half Moon and always enjoyed the atmosphere and the meals. However, we went for a roast on Sunday 23rd and the meal was so disappointing. Our table was at 3.00pm and wonder if they were running out of beef as we all had one slice of beef! Half a carrot and 2 potatoes and the yorkshires were dry and hard. Small bowl of veg to share between 2 people. Not the quality we would have expected for the money. I wonder if the head chef has changed?

Thank you to the Half Moon team for an extra special Mothers Day. Eating a top quality menu including the most perfect Sunday roast. All finished with a wonderful little gift for my wife. We can't wait until our next visit.

We had a fabulous evening at the Half Moon Kirdford to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The menus were very delicious, with a perfect balance of innovative and traditional ingredients (I loved the surprise of the apple and the rhubarb). The fizz on arrival, complemented with lovely wines with the meal and the overall ambiance was perfect for the romantic occasion. The service was delightful. Thank you for lovely evening. Lovely country pub....
Went for birthday drink and ended up having delicious bar snacks too...
Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, staff are friendly and service fantastic.
