It’s an amazing place I love coming here! It always a pleasure when Aranka is working the front desk. She’s really nice and helpful, and kind. The gym, the tennis courts, it has everything I need. I love it here! 😊 also Nikki gave me a great tour around the club, I found it really informative and very helpful. I’m also wondering about getting a job here possibly? Could somebody please contact me about possibly getting a job working in the Clubroom. Thanks

Thanks Nikki for taking the time to give us a thorough tour of the updated facilities. Great to see after having not been a member for 10 years.
Nikki went into great detail around the possibilities for children including all the classes. This is definitely going to be something we progress with.

I have left feedback and requested a call back multiple times and have still not been contacted. There has not been a single Battlebox class offered at the club for the last 4 months. This was one of the main reasons I joined the club after being sold this during the sales tour. The weather has been absolutely glorious over this last month so it’s extremely frustrating that these classes are not on.

Not enough is offered for Babies either. We have to travel much further away, to the also cheaper, Sunderland club to be able to go to Baby Swim Classes and Baby Play group! They seem to offer more for less money.

The state of the female changing rooms is also appalling, the floor is always dirty and there’s a shower that hasn’t had its shower gel topped up for months either.

After leaving this feedback multiple times, none of the issues have been addressed and my requests for someone to contact me have been ignored. Why have a feedback system and a “request a call back” system if you’re just going to completely ignore it?

Upon entering the club I was greeted with a warm welcome and also a member of the sales team (Nikki). She was a great help and showed me round with all the adequate information to follow.
A very good atmosphere around the club and cafe area again made welcoming through my interaction with Nikki. She explained everything and how it would benefit myself.

Good gym and great staff.

I met with Kayley last week to discuss options for membership as I have some mobility issues. She showed me around and answered all my questions. Very warm and friendly and I didn’t feel at all pressured. I’ve signed up and have my first visit on Monday. Thanks Kayley

Kayley met us at main reception and straight away we felt at ease. We had very comprehensive tour of the club, and during this time we learnt many things the club had to offer. Because the club offered more than we ever thought, we decided to join. The tour was positive and invaluable in making our decision.

We have recently been in to the club to get some information about the club and joining. The club is amazing, the facilities and the staff really do make it stand out. We had a lovely chat with Nikki from the sales team and she showed us around. She knows her stuff. Highly recommend!

UPDATE 2: 6 MONTHS LATER. No communication from anyone, and the evening timetable has been severely cut back.

UPDATE: Over a month later and no communication.

All classes that I'm intersted in able to go to are fully booked as soon as they are realeased 9 days in advance. You can put alerts on to be notified of when someone cancels, which I do, but by the time I open the (very slow) app, someone else has beaten me to it. Having to go to the David Lloyd at Sunderland instead which is much further away and has no spa, but they offer more of the popular classes.

Complained to management, but they aren't interested.

I was promised an update from their group exercise manager on their plan to address the situation and this has not hapenned over a week later.

Most of their reviews are skewed by people rating 5 stars and commenting on how good it was to be shown round the club. These seem like they are either fake or being added by people who are being encouraged to leave these reviews after a tour, maybe there is some sort of incentive on membership fees? But they do not reflect what it is like to actually be a member of this club. A shameless, cynical marketing tactic either way.
