Nice breakfast, decent pub.

We stayed in an annex a couple of miles north of the pub. The accommodation was underwhelming. The plumbing was atrocious, trying to get a warm let alone hot shower was a nightmare. The taps were very loose and I worried they would fall off. The bath creaked badly when I stood in it, sounding like it would break under me...and while I am not the lightest person, it still should not be reacting like that. The towel rail would have fallen down if I had hung a towel on it. The toilet failed to flush and I had to fix it myself.

I would have awarded 2 stars, but the bed was comfy, the breakfast was nice and service at breakfast was good so I have nudged up to 3 stars.

I would not be rushing back.
