This is a wonderful warm, welcoming pub and restaurant with rooms.|We have stayed there previously, and it was our first choice for our visit to East Sussex again.|The bar is comfortable, cosy, and a pleasure to relax in; all supported by the fabulous landlady Emma. Plus my favourite cider!|We stayed for two nights in a more than adequate bedroom. By this, I mean it's not large but has everything you need, including coffee, tea biscuits, as well as toiletries in the shower room - the shower being the easiest I've ever used! |We had a real pub dinner on Saturday evening - scampi and cod - fresh and beautifully cooked by Emma's partner, Gary. Although there is so much: look at the website. Breakfast likewise was delicious.|So, all in all, a great stay! We'll be back!!!

Lovely, friendly village pub. Stayed for one night B and B, room was comfortable and clean. Small bathroom and shower but not a problem. All staff were lovely and friendly. Paid extra for the cooked breakfast in the morning and the full English was a large plate for a reasonable price. Happy to recommend The Blacksmith's Arms, Halland.

Ver warm welcome by Emma, you pay when you check in , which wasn’t a problem. Room was on first floor, going up the stairs they have paintings by local artists for sale! The room itself was clean, bed lovely and comfortable, we had the room at the back so was very quiet. You got the usual tea, coffee and added bonus small pack of biscuits and small bottle of water. The en-suite was also very clean and toiletries were provided. Continental breakfast was included but for an extra charge there was a small selection of cooked breakfast. Can highly recommend the full English, everything cooked exactly as I like it and reasonably priced. It’s about 15/20 minutes from Lewis by car, where there’s a good selection of shops and restaurants. The pub also does food in the evenings, small selection of good quality pub food . There is a car park at side of pub.There’s also a shop in the pub , good in case you’ve forgotten anything! This place is one of the friendliest places I’ve stayed in , made to feel extremely welcome by Emma and Gary !

Just had a super lunch with friends. 6 of us in total. It was excellent. Our meals were reordered. All meals served together and the food was superb. Chelsea served us, she was very attentive. Log fire lit and a warm friendly welcome. I wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely go back. Thank you Chelsea and the chef.

I arranged a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband. Emma was so helpful and accommodating. She allowed us to have the function room and bar area for the evening. The buffet was excellent. Could not fault anything. We also stayed overnight rooms cosy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend a lovely country pub. Thank you Emma and the team

We had the best time here! We did a 3 night stay as we had a wedding nearby. It's super friendly, lovely food. A real home from home. Go for the warm welcome, comfy B and B style rooms and a great nights sleep! We'll take our dog back with us one day and explore the local area more. Thanks to our lovely hosts - we had a great stay!

Clean and attractive interior. Staff very friendly. Good food.
Just stopped in for a quick lunch with my mum. Changed for the better as I went 7 years ago and was much more pleasant this time around.
