Our stay at The Nest was idyllic. Serena was there to meet us when we arrived and provided us with the warmest of welcomes. She showed us the accommodation and explained the features and appliances, as well as giving us some local recommendations for restaurants, shops and trips out. Serena also made sure we knew to contact her should we need anything else.

The accommodation itself is beautiful. It looks even better than the pictures show and contains everything you could need. The view from The Nest is picturesque and the surrounding area is very peaceful. I can't recommend The Nest enough.

Serena is an exceptional host who has gone to great lengths to create such a wonderful space in which to spend a few days of calm. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Nest to anyone who wishes to explore the stunning Sussex countryside.

Beautiful! Fantastic accommodation! Serena made us very welcome. Lovely extra touches with tea, milk, and bread! Comfortable bed. Location is great lovely and private. Very clean, pretty interior. Perfect for a quiet getaway with the bonus of the Coach and Horses at the end of the lane. Very good food. Had a really good takeaway from Thai Tme in Forest Row.

Have just returned from a lovely relaxing break at The Nest, Danehill in Sussex. The Nest is set in a private idyllic location overlooking Ashdown Forest with amazing views of the countryside and forest - and the perfect location for bird watching and wildlife.
The Nest is a luxurious retreat created with stylish interior design - and caters for your every need.

The bespoke 4 poster bed with crisp Egyptian cotton and luxurious bedding is the comfiest bed that I have ever slept in. It is dreamy!

The Nest is the perfect venue to relax, unwind, and recharge your batteries in beautiful tranquil surroundings.

Thank you, Serena, for your kindness. Tim and I have really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the near future.

Thank you for a wonderful stay at The Nest! We were welcomed warmly at the property and given a thorough run through of not only everything we needed to know about the accommodation, but also the local area too, such as restaurants and walks nearby. The property itself was spotlessly clean and I do mean SPOTLESS - it is abundantly clear how much pride is taken in providing a beautiful place to stay. So many small things had been thought of, like basic groceries provided, and it just made our stay every bit better. We will definitely be back!

We had the most perfect post wedding retreat come mini- moon. The Nest was the perfect sanctuary - every detail thoughtfully considered . I particularly loved the generous bath and spectacular taps ! The decor was very tasteful - I felt as if I was in a spacious luxury treehouse . The views were a joy - the tranquility of the surroundings gave much needed respite . Serena couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. She ensured that the space was immaculate throughout but with a warmth and attention to detail that made it feel like home from home . This was our second visit and so lovely to see the Sussex and Kent countryside in the spring. Yet again Serena was a fabulous host, making us feel immediately at home and providing us with all the information and recommendations we needed to make the most of our stay. The Nest is fitted out with many home comforts and is ideally located if you are looking for peace and quiet surrounded by trees and nature. Since our last visit a fireplace has been added and an extension to the garden area where you can sit out and enjoy the peace and quiet and listen to and watch the birds, including the owls in the evening.

I've just had a wonderful weekend at the Nest. Really cosy peaceful place to rest and relax at the end of the day. Beautiful walks right from the doorstep, or a 10 min drive to Ashdown Forest. Serena is a great host, and provides lots of useful information both on arrival and via folders in the cabin. The Nest has everything you could need, well equipped kitchen plus essentials, super comfy bed and living space. I will miss the sound of the birds and the stream! Thanks for a lovely stay ☺️

Wonderful bolt-hole in beautiful countryside. Accommodation spotless and with everything you need. Hosts welcoming and friendly. Great walks nearby and the Coach and Horses (3 mins walk) is a first-class, authentic country pub with excellent ale and food. We will be back!
