A really lovely woods. Luckily we had beautiful weather for a few hours here. I took my dog and two children here. My dog was on and off the lead, I put him on the lead when around others, just to be safe. But everyone who we came across was friendly and wanted to say hello. My kids played with other kids. It's a nice walk, nice little areas for kids to play and explore.

One word - ✨MAGIC✨
We have been back a couple times since our stay in November 2023. Where I was so lucky to spend my 40th birthday. We went back again on the rainy mother's day this year too! We visited on a glorious day, on a whim and had the best morning. I took my mum for the first time, she was just in awe and felt the magic there too. I cannot more highly recommend it, there really are such good vibes here the coffee and cakes and play areas and absolutely every single attention to detail is so beautiful. I can't wait to go back again, thank you for filling our cups up today after an extremely stressful year as a family. I feel very lucky to have wilderness wood so nearby.

Just returned from a stay in one of the cabins at Wilderness wood. It was a truly magical experience, we were made to feel so welcome and even joined in with the choir, (Tuesday’s at 6pm). We lit the log burning stove each evening and baked our own bread in the wood fired oven. We also joined in with volunteering on Wednesday and learned so much about how to help the animals and wildlife thrive with just knowing what habitat they need. Thank you to everyone. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing place!!! We had such a fun weekend at Wilderness Wood! From the amazing grounds— with so much to explore and swing on, jump off, look at or peek through— through to the brilliant facilities — wood fired woodland showers, decent toilets and wash blocks — and also the great communal areas: the cool house, where we cooked a great meal for 40 people, as well as the conveniently located kids play area right next door. There’s also a great cafe with cakes, coffee, teas, cold drinks and some alcoholic drinks (in the evening). Would highly recommend this place and the team who were so helpful and friendly!

It's amazed me how I only live 30 minutes away and i have never known about this place. I love how cozy it was, the people were lovely and so bubbly. It was so adorable. I think all the children in the class throughly enjoyed it too. Thank you.

I've photographed a few awesome weddings at Wilderness Wood, and it's just the most perfect wedding venue - and one of the few places you can legally get married in the woods! Top tip - have a live band and fire pit in the evening followed by a silent disco under the festoon lights! Also, get on the big swing for fun photos!

Lovely woods to walk round, great for kids and families. There are pushchair friendly trails, lovely cafe with home made cakes and play areas, including a mud kitchen. Only thing on negative side is the admission is no longer free or donation, still cheap day out.
