This hotel was an absolute treat to stay at. We had booked the dinner, bed and breakfast rate. Upon arrival the staff on site were incredibly helpful in the check-in process and went above and beyond to upgrade our booking. ||The suite we stayed in was beautiful! It contained a large bathroom, a large lounge area with a mounted television and a desk with various amenities, and finally a very large bedroom with air conditioning and another television. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the general decor and aesthetic of the room. ||Dinner was lovely, most notably was that the staff prepared a surprise birthday dessert plate for my partner when they overheard it was their birthday. Truly felt touched and welcomed at how above and beyond the entire staff went throughout our stay. ||The bed was very comfortable which then led into the next day where we enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast and a full English breakfast. We certainly did not leave the establishment hungry! ||Overall, I am very content and satisfied with my stay at the Burnham Beeches Hotel. My only critique was that the lifts were out of service due to the ongoing construction until Winter 2024, however, I was already aware of this when I made my booking. Furthermore, the construction itself was not noticeable from the suite room we were in. The Wi-Fi was a tad slow from the rooms, however, this is to be expected from most resorts located at the end of a series of long winding country roads. Despite all this, the pros by far outweighed the cons, which is why my final conclusion is that it was a brilliant hotel to stay at.

Just a quick note to say how much i enjoyed my stay at the hotel last week. Ian on reception was especially helpful and friendly during my time there - a genuine asset to the business. I will definitely be back again in the future. The bar looks completely transformed since the last time i stayed there.

Rooms were nice, could use updating. I do love old hotel charm, but things here just felt slightly dated- but not terrible.
Loved use of the pool & sauna. Small gym available- but smelled so intensely of a ‘burnt rubber’ and bleach scent, with no ventilation in the workout room, that I was unable to use it.
Everyone was very pleasant, except a male (manager) I believe. Brown haired gentleman, that truly couldn’t be asked a question without looking annoyed or bothered by you at any time of day or evening.
Food: Breakfast was good. Eggs were extremely milky & runny every day- so I just requested 2 fried eggs instead of what was out on the breakfast bar. They were kind to accommodate.
Dinner: Only tried the burger at night. It was decent, not great. Should have opted for more local faire instead of a burger though.

On Sat 24th August 2024, my sisters and I hosted a bridal shower for our sister at the Burnham Beeches hotel. We didn’t stay at the hotel, however hosted our event in the Brasserie. Whilst we decorated the room with balloons, we didn’t need to do that much as the room was beautiful and perfect for the occasion.
The room was spacious as there was enough space for bridal shower games and mingling. We received a fantastic service from the staff and particularly Harry who was very personable and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great event. We are very grateful for the hospitality received by Harry and team and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We held a very small wedding ceremony (us and 5 guests) in their tea room on a Saturday in August. They provided a great service that was well priced. The tea room is beautiful and they really made the effort to elevate it for the ceremony and meal we held there.
Running up to the event they were good at keeping in touch and answering any queries and they did really well on the day itself too; cannot fault them.
Recommended for your event!

So disappointed. I had a preferential rate with a local event, and even that was way too much.|The hotel is currently mid renovation I think - and it could absolutely do with some TLC.||The staff were absent. There was no one on the bar and I had to go to reception to find someone to tell and then go back to the bar to wait. The room I was in first was shabby, with peeling wallpaper and no AC, just a fan from reception. No one answered the phone at reception despite me calling 5 or 6 times, so when I went downstairs I asked if they had a room available with AC and they said no. ||Then a party started and the music and DJ were so loud I could hear him clearly asking people to ‘make some noise’ from inside my room. I called the number off Google (as no one was answering on my room phone) and reception told me the music would stop at 10. When I asked if they were sure, they said actually midnight. So I asked if I could move. ||They moved me to a room far away (I’d been on top of their event space before) that had AC. I pointed out I’d asked and probably would’ve paid to upgrade (it was a much nicer room) but apparently someone had cancelled since my query. ||This room was much nicer, but still a bit shabby. ||I’ve given two stars because the food was great.

We had our wedding day at the hotel and we honestly had the best day! We’re a same sex couple and we fully recommend the hotel as an inclusive venue for everyone. The hotel grounds are lovely and the Windsor suite was perfect for our intimate ceremony and celebration. It fitted in perfectly with our vision. ||This review is completely honest and we feel is true to our experience with the hotel. ||Overall we had a fantastic day, the food was amazing, the wedding bedroom suite is insane (I say bedroom, it’s more like an apartment!) and the staff went above and beyond to make our day special. ||Although the actual day was amazing and everyone had a great time, unfortunately things happened with the hotel that added to a lot of the stress we experienced in the lead up to the day. ||The wedding planner we had been dealing with for months, since deciding to book the venue, left the hotel. People change jobs, this is understandable but we simply were not informed about this for weeks after the fact. It took us sending multiple emails over 2/3 weeks before any response was received to inform us of the planners sudden departure. ||Before the planner left they also said that the DJ booked as part of our package was no longer in contract with the hotel and they would find a replacement. Again, no communication about this as the planner left. So we were 3 weeks before our wedding, without the planner we’d spent months working with and no DJ!||We completely understand this was out of their control but the main issue for us was the lack of communication about it. We would have appreciated an email from either the old planner to explain what was happening or from the hotel manager, purely out of courtesy so we were aware of the situation.||We appreciate they also had multiple weddings booked before ours that took priority but finding out 3 weeks before your day was not ideal in the slightest. ||The previous planner also down played the renovations happening at the hotel, more than we originally thought but in the end they didn’t disrupt or have any impact to our day. ||On a much more positive note, the new wedding Co-Ordinator Sabrina has been amazing and we can’t shout about her enough!! She communicated everything via email, assured us everything was on track as a full handover had been given. She quickly organised a meeting with us to run through our day again to make sure every detail was correct, listened to our concerns and really did put our minds at ease. ||We were in constant communication with Sabrina all the way through till the day. Sabrina was there the day before our wedding to meet us as we checked in, helped us unload and organise all the wedding bits too. We ran through the details again to triple check all was in order for the next day. Sabrina introduced us to members of the team who would be other key contacts and was there to handle any requests or last minute questions we had. Sabrina also secretly helped organise with members of our family who wanted to decorate our bedroom suite for us as a surprise. ||The day of our wedding was amazing. During breakfast in the morning, Ian was a delight. He offered his congratulations with a complimentary glass of fizz to help settle the nerves. Throughout the day Ian was amazing with us and our guests and couldn’t do enough for you! ||Sabrina also went above and beyond to ensure the whole day ran like clock work, she made sure everything ran to schedule, every detail was correct, guests were where they needed to be and that everything was in place for us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! ||The catering team were amazing, Sara the F&B manager, Harry and the rest of their team were with us all day into the evening, they were all brilliant. The food was incredible and all the guests agreed. ||The morning after Ian was again amazing, organised for us and our guests who were staying/joining us for breakfast into the tea room (all 20 of us!) so we could all be together which was really lovely! ||Sabrina, Ian & Sara we can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for us. A true credit to the hotel. ||Despite the initial stresses, we had the most amazing wedding day and that is thanks to Sabrina, Ian, Sara and the rest of the hotel staff. ||We hope more LGBTQ+ couples choose Burnham Beeches Hotel as a lovely inclusive venue.
