Staff friendly and helpful. ||Location excellent. ||Cleanliness excellent.||The recent changes to the Meikle restaurant and Winter garden have much enhanced the enjoyment of the view of Strathearn and the eating experience. ||There are a lot more activities and facilities for children which I wish had been in place when my children were young. These changes also don’t adversely affect any nature walks through the grounds. ||I would highly recommend a visit.

We were a large party, all the double rooms were nice and relatively modern. Lacking in air con though, and we visited on a warm weekend. Not all the rooms had fridges and no water was provided in the rooms.|The family room was quite small, and was dated. When visiting previously we had a family room which had an in-shot for a set of bunk beds and had a second television, this was much better than our room this time which was just 4 beds in a row with very little other room.|The hotel itself is nice. Breakfast is good. Lunch at the adventure park cafe is expensive and very average. Dinner at the Brasserie / Terrace was ok, some of the party had a lovely meal, some of us thought it was poor. The alcohol is very expensive. We ate down at MurrayPark one night and this was a much nicer meal.|The swimming is good, the kids slide is great.|They have taken away the bouncy castles which is a shame, on a wet day they were a great addition for the kids on a wet day.|Most of the staff are really friendly.|The softplay is suitable for young kids only, but our 2 year old loved it.

Just got home today and Would highly recommend a visit to Crieff Hydro, so much to do and reasonably priced for all the activities, my little boy just turned 3, He absolutely Loved it! |Food was lovely, plenty to choose from, the pizzas in Picollo were amazing! |The staff were so friendly and very helpful, Especially the girls on reception and Action Glen staff. Even went out their way to help us when we discovered the battery of my car was flat due to lights left on by accident, with no hesitations they got us up and running saving me an expensive roadside call out, So so appreciated! |Overall a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Crieff hydro has undergone a refurb since I last visited and it has been much improved!! |The highlight of the visit was the friendliness and welcome of the staff. |The updated decor is beautiful and there are many spaces to choose from when it comes to mealtimes or having a snack. A lot of thought has gone into how to design the hotel to cater for families and couples whilst not making the busyness feel overwhelming. There are more outside seating areas. |The action adventure playground, occupying part of the old golf course, is a great place for kids to play outside and expend their energy. |A daily programme of activities also contributes to creating a space for generations of families to enjoy special times together. |I was with my husband but as a parent of young adults it was a joy to see other families gathering. |The Devonshire cream tea at the Hub was an unexpected treat whilst watching a sporting event.|The cleanliness was excellent too. |The prices have gone up, like many other hotels of this calibre, but our visit has reminded us of why we have chosen the hydro for family events and short breaks in the past and will do so again.

Fantastic afternoon tea at Loggia. Took my mum for a last minute afternoon tea. Great value for money, delicious food. Had to take some of it home with us as there was too much to eat. Love the refurb and the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier and helpful. Will be back soon as I’m telling everyone how fantastic it was!

Ok, so we were a group of 13, celebrating an 80th birthday. Never been to Crieff hydro before. Arrived at reception which was a bit mental with people but to be fair our bags were taken in and we were processed pretty quickly. Came down to the winter gardens, nice space, took a drinks order and I asked for a food menu as we had been travelling and could only check in after 3 and were waiting on family. I was told 'you have missed lunch, the kitchen is closed'......not 'you can get food elsewhere in the hotel' ...just 'you have missed lunch'...so we sat and waited for the rest of our family to arrive. We had a dinner reservation booked for 20:30 but we were now asking around for some snacks/bar snacks to tide us over as some of out party were hungry but alas, nothing. We went down to 'The Hub' after our family arrived to find a bar shut at 5PM directing us back to the place we'd been in since 3PM which still had no food. Some of our party left and drove to into town to get food and left us in the bar. We had a drink and I spoke to a member of staff, Ellie, who was a superstar by the way, explained to her how bizarre it was that we literally could not get a snack since we checked in. She trawled the kitchen and brought 4 of us 8 bread rolls with butter...I mean how embarrassing and how demeaning for us but the girls were so hungry they just went with it .Ellie, again, was brilliant and a credit to the hotel.|So this could have easily been resolved by someone saying to us earlier 'We don't serve food in HERE at this time.. BUT other Bars/restaurants do'. The food we actually had both nights was good and on both nights we hired an hour in 'The Bunker'....amazing space for a group, Karaoke, Golf Simulator, juke box, Pool table and dart board. Someone comes down and shows you the ropes and how to set up...but DON'T take a drinks order? 13 of us ?!! so we had to send folk to the bar up the stairs in the hotel meaning about half an hour of the hour you booked is taken up by walking through the hotel, waiting to get served and then shuttling the drinks down to the bunker yourself ....really poor when it could be really good. Really simple stuff. If you want peaceful? This hotel isn't for you...they do tell you breakfast at times can get busy, and it does. The selection is good but some items were cold (just your luck) but plenty choice and I have to say all the staff are excellent. Rooms? not bad, a bit tired and if you don't like a soft pillow?, you'd best bring one as these are the softest I've slept on ....Could be great...but plenty room for improvement ...all seems a bit disjointed.

Just a two day stay whilst visiting family. I've heard so much about the hotel. I thought I'd give it a try.
They have a whole host of activities to try that I did not use, so my review is limited.
The hotel is set in wonderful grounds with plenty of parking. Check-in staff we're great and very courteous. The check-in area is modern and looks really nice.
The room, however, is a little dated, but ok. It was nice and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. I had asked for a mattress encacement, but this had not been provided. In general, there were question marks over housekeeping. On arrival, there were several dead flies and bugs indicating a lack of cleaning.
A great breakfast was provided as part of the deal and the discounted price for the stay, which I assume was because it was early season, made the overall impression good.

The hotel has been beautifully re imagined with some lovely bar and restaurant areas. The room was clean and comfortable but we would have expected more extras and less additional costs for a stay of this cost. Service needs to be improved because with good menus and food quality, service failings tarnished the overall experience.
