I stayed in the Boar’s head and had dinner in their restaurant. I I’ll never forget my stay.
We were welcomed like never before by an extremely friendly lady. The rooms are really nice with a little tasting of whiskey waiting. The rooms are well decorated clean and well equipped. In the evening we had dinner in the Boat’s head. The food was excellent and well priced. Service was great and we will not forget our waitress named Lucy. She was a sunshine serving dinner. After dinner we had whiskey, I’m a novice on whiskey but the friendly barman gave us very good advice. I would like to thank all the people at the Boars head for an unforgettable stay.

Had a delicious lunch today with friends.
The waitresses explained the menu and sold corses well to us, very friendly and efficient, especially Susie.
The chef has a second set of rosettes and you could see why. The menu was varied and different from so many other establishments.
The food was very well presented and all our courses were cooked very well and nothing was overdone and had subtlety.
This was my second visit and this time it was even better than the last.
Thanks and very well done, we'll be back.

Having been to the restaurant on numerous occasions and been blown away by the food and service, we decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay for our anniversary (so we could both enjoy the food, wine and drinks available without one of us having to drive home).
We were not disappointed!! The rooms are beautiful, individually designed, and everything was of the highest standard of finish, with beautiful complimentary touches. Dinner was amazing, as usual, and service was impeccable (without being oppressive).
But the breakfast was the perfect end to our stay. Great choices available and cooked to perfection 👌
Fantastic hosts and staff.

Yesterday our walking group on 9 visited the Boars Head after our walk. We had not booked, but we’re given a wonderful welcome! The chef passed by us with hands full of delicious looking food and told us that he would serve us anything on the menu. (It was 3.30). Susie, a waitress ushered us to table and we were served very quickly. I had the mushroom and sage soup with home made bread and it was the best I have ever had! Susie was a delightful waitress and told us all about the Boars Head and that they had won the best gastro pub in Scotland award last year. I’m not surprised! It was fabulous, very cosy, comfortable and welcoming! We all loved it and will definitely be back! Well done everyone and thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a splendid afternoon at the Wildboar in Auchtermuchty, Fife, Scotland. The chap who took the reservation was very friendly, warm and helpful so the excellent first impression started with him. We had a great table to celebrate Father’s Day and the food, drinks, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. We will definitely be back! Special shout out to our server Susie who was a superstar and made the occasion first class. Thanks to all at the Wildboar for our lovely lunch 👏

We had lunch at the Boar's Head yesterday.. 15th May.. and it was fabulous.. we took friends who hadn't been before and they were so impressed too. We were greeted by Suzi who looked after us well with drinks and food... offering to change anything if we wanted a different sauce eith a particular meal and was very knowledgeable about all the dishes too. The food was superb with all of us enjoying starter main and dessert. One of our guests was overheard saying how much she loved rhubarb and when her dessert arrived extra had been added. We were lucky enough to meet Gordon, the chef, and thank him personally. We would all highly recommend the Boar's Head and we're planning to visit again..... thanks to all who made us feel so welcome.

The perfect Gastronomy Getaway under an hour from Edinburgh. This is where elevated dining meets local produce, served up with none of the fuss of fine dining. Fancy a pamper? This wee spot delivers with stunning rooms, the cosiest of beds, and every amenity you’d want to make your stay nothing short of superb. From the moment you step through the door, you’re welcomed with warmth and shown to your room, leaving plenty of time to unwind. Take a stroll through the scenic streets or pop over to Lindores Abbey Distillery, just 10 minutes away, before you settle in for evening drinks at the bar. Then indulge yourself—whisky, wine, and top-notch food—safe in the knowledge that you’re only a few steps away from sinking into crisp white linens and drifting off to dreamland. Bliss!
