The Well Country Inn - Kinross

This is all you would expect from a good country inn. The room was clean and comfortable, there is ample parking, and the staff are friendly. The food was really good. We had slow cooked local venison with some of the best chips we have ever tasted. The location is handy for visiting the local historic well, and also the various attractions around Loch Leven. We would definitely go back.

Lynn, Emma and team excel in making you feel welcome to their beautiful, clean, quirky, Inn. Biker friendly, we appreciated the extras in our spotlessly clean room, and the comfy bed, fresh linen. The menu offers homemade tasty meals for everyone. After freshening up, filling our bellies, getting a full sleep, filling our bellies again on the amazing continental breakfast provided, we were ready to explore the roads again. Definitely plan in to stay here whilst you are exploring Scotland. We will be staying again.

If you are contemplating booking here you need to know that this hotel is to all intents and purposes closed during the early part of the week, the only part being open is the bar where a few locals go for an early evening drink. That bar closes at 8.00 pm. ||We only ever saw the same one member of staff who took us to our room and served behind the bar. ||There is no breakfast, lunchtime or evening dining Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Cannot account for other days.||The rooms received no attention during our stay two night stay - though I admit this seems to be common in hotels nowadays. ||If you are looking for attentive service at the start of the week this is not the place.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Well Inn, Scotlandwell today (2/5/25).

The food was very well presented and was excellent.

For starters, I had the haggis bon bons which were delicious, dainty and not too heavy. The peppercorn sauce had the right kick to it.

Husband had the tomato & basil soup which was home made, fresh and tasty.

We both had the battered fish & chips. The batter was light with not even the slightest hint of grease and the chips were tasty too.

We were served by Dawn who was lovely. She was attentive but not intrusive and had great banter.

You can eat in the restaurant or lounge and can book online from their website or phone to secure a table.

We will definitely eat here again and have recommended to family and friends.

Great pub with good food, clean rooms and friendly service.

Lynne and her team run a busy pub, that is well supported by the locals. All the food is home cooked and served with a smile. The accommodation is clean, well maintained and simply furnished.

Christmas lunch here with our Ramblers walking Group. 21 of us enjoyed an excellent meal with pleasant and efficient service. We selected our menu choices in advance, were served promptly and the food was of an excellent standard. The room where we ate was attractive and our table was dressed for Christmas. No complaints at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and wish the new owners well for the future.

Had a lovely family lunch here. We've been here lots for dinner, but this was the first time since the new owners took over. Good food with a variety of choices on the menu and small portions available. Well priced too. We'll definitely be back!

Had a bar lunch at the pub today and the food was very good. Piping hot, scallops were cooked perfectly. Great pub grub. Will definitely be back.
