I had a wonderful dining experience at The Thistle. The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. It's rare to find a place that offers such great quality for the price, but The Thistle really delivers on value for money.||The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the entire evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. This is not owned by OYO any more but is under new management which own the muirs in Kinross and have started serving proper food here again.
Open for meals thur-sun and came today for the Sunday roast. This week it was a gammon, which was slowly braised in iron bru and it was superlative. So succulent, all the trimmings..... Brilliant
Great varied menu and excellent service.
This is just what Milnathort needs again.
Definitely recommend a visit.

We booked for 3 nights to attend the Rewind Festival - all we needed was a place to sleep and we're lucky enough to book the Thistle. From the moment we arrived our party of 5 could not have been made more welcome. The pub had a great atmosphere and the locals & staff were so friendly ...even when we were all decked out in 80's fancy dress! |The rooms are well equipped and spacious. Really comfortable beds and nothing was too much trouble. |The Scottish breakfast was one of the best we have had - freshly cooked to order, good quality ingredients and delicious. |Would highly recommend the Thistle Hotel - if we go to Rewind Scotland next year we will 100% be staying here again. |If you are ever in the area book in here - you will not be disappointed.

After a four hour drive from Manchester airport, I arrived here on Monday at 9:30. The restaurant was closed (and so was everything else around the hotel). ||||The room was basic and the heating didn't work for the time I was there. Frankly, there is a need to renovate the place. The sash window was held open with a supplied stick||||On the positive side, the staff were polite, pleasant and made an effort. I had to leave the hotel early and they made a special effort to provide breakfast at 7:00 am.

Booked overnight stay, confirmed with booking.com. Landlord denied having the booking or taking payment. Tried to charge £100, but dropped to £70. Rooms were being refurbished so no TV, no kettle, no curtains. Showed us to first floor room then said that would be noisy as it was over the bar. Finished up in a family room on top floor. Very noisy with traffic passing, sloping roof over the bed made it impossible to get in either side without bending double. When we got home found the original charge had been taken so finished up paying £114 for his rubbish room. Hotel chain refusing to refund. Avoid like the plague.

We arrived on sat 22nd August at 6.45pm after booking a room through booking.com ..to be told there was no room booked for us,the hotel does not deal with booking.com and we had a dog which was definitely not getting in..( beware we called booking.com earlier in the afternoon just to confirm our booking and ensure our dog was allowed, which they confirmed) left stranded we booked the Best Western Belgeddie , last minute they had a room!! They were so welcoming,so dog friendly and the meals were delicious. This hotel is advertising through booking.com BEWARE!!!

Stayed here while touring Scotland with my Paranormal group in 2010, absolutely loved it. Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and well laid out, and the breakfast was gorgeous. Can't wait to get back north of the border to visit the Thistle Hotel again.

We went there to relax and have a drink. The staff were very friendly and the regulars were also friendly. The bar is well stocked with good ales and a great range of cocktails are available.All in all a very happy place.
