Kintaline House, self catering home - Oban

Kintaline House was the perfect retreat for our group of 5 (aged 35-40s), and we booked directly with Jill for our weekend getaway; we came to celebrate two of our group's birthdays.

Jill was amazingly helpful, providing tips and recommendations before our stay, a welcome pack of lovely treats, and she was also on hand during our stay to help with any questions we had.

The house is clean, incredibly comfortable (great beds, and lovely soft bed linen), and the kitchen was amazingly well-equipped for those of us who enjoy cooking.

We chose this property due to its amazing living space, and we weren't disappointed! The warm, spacious living room is even more cozy and comfortable than in the photos (it's hard to capture just how wonderful the space is in photos).

Our group was travelling from Edinburgh so, being used to the Scottish weather, we expected the weather to be cold and wet (hence us booking this fabulous property with its large living area and wood-burning stove). It was wonderful to relax, drink coffee (by day, and something a little stronger in the evening), eat nice food, and browse the books available on the bookcases. We had a truly wonderful time at Kintaline and we were sad to leave.

I really do wish we'd been able to stay longer, yet we'll keep this in mind for the future (we're already looking forward to returning).

An absolute gem of a property in quiet rural surroundings and enjoying use of a garden and a large conservatory.
The accommodation is of a very high standard and the feeling really is of a home from home.
Whatever you think you might need - it is there.

What a wonderful place. Jill made our stay at Kintaline effortless. We had everything we needed, except more time. It is located perfectly for visiting the surrounding sites, but would also be perfect for just getting away. The kitchen had everything we needed and more...this could be said for every part of the house. Games, croquet, BBQ, books... you will not be bored. Surrounded by nature and a short walk to the beach, we couldn't have imagined a better spot. Magical.

Our recent stay at Kintaline House was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a cosy heaven. The interior design was a beautiful blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. We were welcomed by handwritten beautiful note by Jill. Living room was adorned by sofas and literally a library consisting of more than 1000 books. It had a fireplace too. Kitchen was equipped with all the essential crockery and all the spices, condiments and everything you can think of. Beds were so comfortable with soft and luxurious linens, duvets and pillows. First floor bathroom was so huge and with all the necessary items. It had a beautiful outdoor garden with a table and BBQ with charcoal and a glass-covered seating area with more than 20 boardgames. While Kintaline House was a heaven in itself, Jill was the best host I've ever met. She welcomed us with warm greetings and a basket of local goodies. This is the best house I've ever stayed in.Definitely recommended. Thank you Jill for this wonderful experience at your home.

Our stay at beautiful and extremely well kept Kintaline House could not have been better. Jill is a super friendly host who keeps the house in perfect condition. Kintaline is very well equipped with everything you could possible want, the Wifi is fast, the kitchen is great and there is a BBQ in the garden including charcoal. We enjoyed our week tremendously and hope to be back one day.

Absolutely fantastic place 15 minutes from Oban. Equipped with everything you could possibly want and then some. Jill is a fantastic host and a wealth of information and inspiration! We spent 4 days at Kintaline house and look forward to visiting again.

Kintaline House is in a perfect location. So quiet and peaceful but within short drives to Oban and to many other beautiful lochside areas and fantastic eating places. The accommodation was perfect. Very clean, spacious and unbelievably well equipped. I can’t think of anything it lacked. Jill, our host, has clearly gone to great lengths to ensure that your stay is relaxing and comfortable.

The provision of tasty local treats was an additional and much appreciated bonus!

Jill was very friendly and welcoming and it was great to know that she was close by if needed.

I would most certainly recommend Kintaline House to anyone looking to holiday in the area. It would be hard to find better accommodation.
