It was okay! I feel like I expected more from this place. The food was just okay, service was hard. We walked in and were ignored for a bit before a guy behind the bar was super kind and offered to serve us. We were there for quite a long time just for lunch, I was hoping to be in and out much quicker than that

Delicious dinner and drinks, set in a tranquil setting on the banks of the river Spey. I had steak, banoffee cake, and a cheeseboard; all of which were exceptional. A really good drinks selection too.
The service was very friendly and attentive, without being obtrusive.
Thoroughly recommended, will definitely be returning.

I had an enjoyable dinner here on a Sunday evening. The menu is a good range of options (vegetarian, fish, red meat). I loved the braised lamb shoulder accompanied by vegetables in a bed of celeriac purée. Very glad that I chose the cheese board. The three cheeses are wonderful especially the Howgate brie. The accompanying crackers are very fiery. The wine list has some good choices. I had the Languedoc Carrignan - rather pricey for a glass but it matches the lamb very nicely. Service is friendly.

Had a fantastic Sunday roast at the Old Bridge Inn in Aviemore! The food was absolutely delicious—tender chicken, crispy roast potatoes, and all the trimmings, topped off with rich, flavourful gravy. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade and full of flavour.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy pub feel that made it the perfect spot for a Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

If you’re in Aviemore and looking for a proper roast dinner, I’d highly recommend stopping by the Old Bridge Inn. You won’t be disappointed!

A real gem in Aviemore!
Busy pub with good food and very dog friendly too (separate restaurant area for non-dog-owners), we didn’t have our dog with us on this trip but preferred the cosy lounge with log burner, where dogs are welcome.
Stone floors, comfy seats, friendly staff (who greeted us like locals on our 2nd, 3rd & 4th visit - nice!)
Food is great - charcuterie board was good for sharing and the burger was outstanding, with optional blue cheese & caramelised onions, it was a taste sensation!
Beer - local cask ales were excellent!
Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, just what you want after ‘a day in the hills’.
We were lucky to get heavy snow and the area is picture perfect in Winter, this place is head and shoulders above anywhere else for atmospheric eating & drinking - best to book if you want a table for food

Pleasant environment. Would love to come back for a show or a folk session. Our favorite of the meals we ordered was the charcuterie. Definitely a must order. The burger was also very good with a thick patty. The black pepper tofu dish had good flavor but the tofu did not and was dry. The falafel wrap was small and had something in it that was sweet, which was not what we were looking for. The service was good.
