In the highlands on business and needing a stopover to break up the journey back down to Northern England. This is a delightful B&B which punches above its weight with facilities and quality that out does most hotels. A very warm and genial welcome from Jim who took time to explain the available facilities and breakfast arrangements etc. |The room is very nicely set out and spotless. Excellent en suite facilities and the property is perfectly located for a short walk down to the centre of the town. The bed was very comfortable and after a solid nights sleep the breakfast was top class. Great selection of fresh fruit and cereals with a superb Scottish breakfast served up with freshly filtered coffee. You get the impression that Jim and Lorraine take genuine pleasure from the satisfaction of their guests and go the extra mile to provide a memorable experience. 10/10. |Will return

This is one of the cutest place I have ever been at. Jim is a great host. Kind, easy to communicate with and very helpful. We needed a room for one night only and he accommodated us on the spot. What a lovely and well maintained home! Dunroamin B&Bwas wonderful! (Love the name, too!) It’s very clean and comfortable and the host is great. Guests have the use of a lounge, which was great after a long day. Loved that the breakfasts were cooked to order. I would definitely stay there again!

Lovely clean rooms, serviced daily. They do the Housekeeping themselves, to a high standard.
Useful items provided if needed, like ear plugs, flannels, refillable water bottle, and shower gels etc.
Breakfast is between 8_9am, so only one hour for breakfast.
Nice selection and menu, and a new "Special" every morning. Choice of cereals and fruits and drinks.
No shoes, boots allowed, slippers are provided for when you remove your shoes. Nice area, and everything is within walking distance.
One little moan I have, would be one morning I didn't manage to finish everything on my plate, and the landlord mentioned it the next morning and asked if I wanted the item I had left, again, as I didn't eat it!
I felt pressured into saying no to it, even though we paid for this, (food included).. (thinking of his costs/profit margin)?
Some days we feel more hungry than other days. No two days are the same, appetite wise...
He would have made an excellent Policeman, from my perspective.
I see other reviews describing The Owner as "friendly". I didn't find hm friendly at all. He was very brusque and "professional"..

Great location. Handy for buses, trains and all amenities. We had a lovely room with a view of the snowy mountains . Good range of tasty hot and cold options at breakfast. Jim and Lorraine couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. We definitely hope to be back.

Donnie is an excellent host. Very friendly, great sense of humour and makes you feel very comfortable in his home. The rooms are very comfortable and Peggy does an awesome job keeping them as such. A great place to stay only minutes (walk) from great dining.
