We were referred to the Mellon Patch by another B&B in town that was full when we called and it was our gain. This is a beautiful property just outside of the town of Carrbridge with lovely gardens overlooking the River Dulnain. We knew the moment we drove in the driveway that this was a great find. Jane Mellon is an excellent host and keeps a beautiful house. Breakfast was excellent and Jane had lots of advice as to where to eat and walk in the area. Our best B&B on our trip to Scotland.

This B&B is just perfect. It has a very friendly owner and the bedroom is tidy, comfortable and the beds are good! It has a nice luxurious bathroom. Full Scottish breakfast is served and the view from the dining room is beautiful. Carr-bridge has a cosy pub and is located on the route from Inverness to Perth. My partner and I took our two smallish dogs to Janes for 2 comfy nights in the Yellow Room, with awesome wood walks on the doorstep and Aviemore 10 mins away it made for a perfect start to our road trip on the NC500. Super quiet and squeaky clean with the most delicious brekkie of fruit, porridge AND cooked Scottish we felt like royalty! ||Top points: |- easy to get to even in snow |- doggies could stay with us and Jane loved them|- 2 second safe access to hours of wood walks|- 10 mins to Aviemore for skiing and hikes |- great local pub 30 secs down the road |- squeaky clean |- comfy bed and the best pillows |- MEGA brekkie! |- private guests lounge with Freeview for chilling after day outside |- felt really welcomed, like Home |- wifi for further trip research! |- excellent family run art shop in village

If you want to stay in a superb B&B, you have to stay here. Jane is an excellent host and you feel immediately at home.|The breakfast is great and you can be sure that you will make it through the day. Fresh fruit, porridge or other cereals and full scottish breakfast....|Rooms are clean and in the evening when you come back you will find a nicely perfect made bed and clean towels

We stayed in the B and B for 2 nights over the weekend. Jane the owner was very friendly and accommodating. The house was spotless. Our room was really nice and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely breakfast both mornings.||We would most definitely return. Thanks for having us Jane!

Stayed for six nights as a base while we explored the surrounding countryside. || Nice quiet location near the river very spacious accommodation with 3 bedrooms upstairs and a guest sitting room for the evening which we did use, a formal full English breakfast was served each morning in the dinning room .The house was a short walk to the hotel or pub for dinner Jane the host was very helpful and made sure we were looked after.

Stayed one night enroute to NC500. Lovely homely B&B, clean and fresh, excellent location in fabulous Carrbridge, great breakfast and Jane is an excellent host. Already booked to return for World Championship porridge making competition in October.

What a wonderful stay we had at The Mellon Patch. The beautiful surroundings were marched by the friendliness and welcoming manner our host gave us from the first second to our last. Nothing was too much trouble and the relaxed atmosphere was a home from home. Our breakfast was delicious and allowed us to sit and gaze out at the lovely garden watching the squirrels and rabbits roam. I certainly want to visit the area again and the Mellon Patch will be my choice every time.
