A solid inn in a small town. A bit older furnishings but everything was clean and functioned fine. Quiet, safe, comfy rooms. Ours had ensuite toilet, not all do. Restaurant and pub were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. A good stop between Edinburgh and Thurso.

Food at Cairn was fantastic from evening meal to breakfast, really good portions and first class quality. Staff from check in to restaurant & bar were great, very accommodating and helpful and nice to see cheery faces.||The room was a great size, reasonably priced with all amenities, overall hotel probably needs a little updating but this did not detract from our stay. Would definitely recommend staying.

Stayed here for a single night on my way further north.

Had a small single room in the attic which fitted my needs with a double bed, though it was a little too soft for my preference, and a stand in shower, though the door on it didn't fully close, making it a little cramped. In addition, the handle on the rooms door was busted and made it hard to turn.

However, there was free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and even a chocolate bar on arrival. TV with great reception and great WiFi.

In the evening I had a nice stuffed chicken breast with roast carrots that was lovingly presented, and a Scottish take on an afogato with honey whisky which really nade the taste incredible.

Breakfast was included in the price and it was a nice typical British and Scottish selection.

Met several members of staff throughout my time there, all of whom were very friendly and helpful, especially the person I assumed was the manager who was able to help me with a few issues.

There is also a Spar just down the road if you need supplies.

Overall, it's a nice place to stay for the price, though I feel the room could have used some light maintenance.

Warm welcome, excellent food (burger) and great beer (Cairngorm brewery). Always ensure we visit at least once whilst on holiday in Nethybridge. Consistently good and comfortable (fire roaring). Staff answer the telephone immediately when enquiring about opening hours/bookings etc.

Perfect location for a break within the Aviemore surrounding area. Extremely friendly owner and staff. Truly wonderful breakfast. Excellent warm and friendly bar with lovely food. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. Loads of things to do nearby.

Popped into this hotel on 12th April for a bite to eat. We each ordered a cheeseburger and was fantastic. Great service and quality. Highly recommend.

Great few nights at the Cairn Hotel - first visit but won’t be my last! Reasonably priced, comfy rooms, tasty food and great service in the middle of a special place - what’s not to love?|Plenty of car parking and had two great evening meals in the bar, felt like a real locals pub which is always a good sign!
