Very nice b&b situated in a very quiet location a few kilometres from Linlithgow. Nice spacious rooms, perfectly clean. Spacious ensuite with shower cabin with excellent water supply.|Spacious dining room and sitting room. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice.|Margaret is a very friendly hostess, always up for a chat and a joke.|Very reasonably priced|Highly recommended!!

Beautiful and quiet, friendly and cozy. Great place to relax. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We could pick the time we wanted breakfast served. Room was very comfortable with a nice warm shower. town was close by.not a whole lot of eating places for dinner.

Rooms are quite large, clean, and calm, but nothing spectacular.
Landlady was a bit strange and not helpful when my wife fell sick and we asked for a little food from the breakfast to be eaten in the room.
We were happy when we could leave.
Location is out in the nowhere. Nothing but a transfer stay on your trip.

My husband and I stayed here two nights at the end of our Scotland trip. We selected Lumsdaine because of its location just outside Linlithgow and the convenience of the train into Edinburgh. We made an excellent choice and thoroughly enjoyed the small farm setting. Margaret is a gracious hostess and was very helpful with information on local attractions. Delicious and healthy breakfasts. Highly recommend Lumsdaine for a charming, quiet stay.

We have never been out of the US and Scotland was our first stop. We have stayed three nights with Margaret and her husband. We felt at home and at ease. Wonderful accommodations. Fresh towels every day, beds made every day and the breakfast is amazing. My son will never appreciate my food for breakfast again. Margaret is amazing and so kind. She made our stay very pleasurable. She is one of the nicest people you will meet. She helped with recommendations and information about the area . We will be back!!! If coming to Edinburgh stay here.

It was lovely meeting Margaret (and her puppy Arlo)! Unfortunately we only got to stay for one night due to a round trip being planned by an agency, but in that time we were very well taken care of. The room was very tidy, and the breakfast was very nice indeed. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a place to stay near or around Edinburgh!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Scotland and Ireland and this was our first BnB of our trip and oh my goodness did they set such a high standard! These two are the sweetest people you'd ever meet! They treated us like family and provided the most incredible accommodations! We had a beautiful spacious room with our own private bathroom and shower. Bed was comfy and toasty. and breakfast the next morning was absolutely scrumptious! After our meal, we chatted and were soon on our way again, but I think of these people often and hope one day we will revisit Scotland and see them again!

This bed and breakfast was amazing!! The host is so welcoming and helpful!! So informative with anything we needed! The breakfasts were amazing and the room was beautiful!!! I would recommend this B&B to anyone!!!!! Loved our time there!
