I was booked into this hotel for an overnight stay before driving back to my work Base in England. I found all the staff friendly and polite. My room is one of the basic rooms as it's a work thing and I must say the bed is very comfy, bathroom a good size with a bath. You have the usual tv, table and tea/coffee making facilities, all you need for a work overnighter. Had a meal in the restaurant and the serving staff again friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and although I wasn't paying the prices on the menu are reasonable. The whole hotel is clean and tidy, including my room. Would I recommend this hotel for an overnight stay? Yes I would.

Welcoming staff and cosy atmosphere. ||Room was well furnished and nicely kitted out as well as clean. ||Food was good and drinks reasonably priced unlike many other hotels I’ve stayed in. ||Lovely outdoor area to sit in when weather good. ||My travel plans changed late on which meant I had to hang around d for a while… no issue and they even gave me a courtesy cuppa!||Only grip would be the heat … the upstairs was like a furnace! Glad they already had a fan in the room so I didn’t have to pester reception. Also appreciated the bottled water (be great to have it in the fridge in the summer!)||Last bonus point: love the window blind… let all the light in but keeps the bugs out! Where can I get one?…..||Keep up the good work xx

The most excellent staycationIt's the best get away for me, nice location easy to get to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The staff where wonderful they made me feel like part of their family. Absolutely great customer service from the arrival greetings from lovely receptionist Zoe and duty manager Andy whose hospitality was awesome. To the lovely housekeeper Bernie who stocked up on my chamoline teas and Scottish honey, to Shaine the waitress at breakfast, the lovely maintance man and the lovely duty manager Scott who went above and beyond his duties on my departure. I thank each of you for making my stay welcoming and homely. Much appreciate the care from all the staff at the hotel who where all professional and helpful.

Solid choice for a one-night stay. Rooms were comfortable, staff friendly, and parking was secure and convenient. Good value for around £100 per night.

Used on on the function rooms to deliver training.. the rooms were spacious well lit and set out for training.. there was plenty of coffee, tea and water and a lovely buffet lunch.. all the staff were friendly and very helpful.. can happily recommend and I will be returning when delivering training in the area.. thank you

My husband and I stayed last night in the HILCROFT hotel in Whitburn West Lothian. We were welcomed at reception by a very charming and friendly gentleman called Chris. He made our stay extra special with his kind words and caring attitude. He is a real asset to this hotel. The room had a lovely shower, kettle and coffee and tea tray, which Chris topped up supplies for us. The bed was very comfortable and the entire place was spotless. This morning we had a fantastic breakfast which consisted of a buffet with cereals, fresh fruit, croissants and other pastries, then a cooked breakfast which was cooked exactly as we had requested. We left very impressed with our stay, and it was a little bit of heaven. Thank you so much, we will return.

The staff at the front desk, as well as those serving at the restaurant and the rest of the staff were helpful and welcoming. During my time I met two female staff Taylor and Tracie who were hospitable. I also met Chris, in which I enquired about the option for halal food. Chris engaged well and reassured me that this will be looked into. I heard great things about the manager Angela and I trust that this excellent service will be maintained as done previously.

This was our second visit. |Fabulous stay on both occasions. Clean and comfortable. Excellent restaurant. Really great value for money. We find it really convenient to travel into Edinburgh, for those occasions where we don't need to stay in the city centre. Staff are really lovely and great at their job.
