Atholl Palace Hotel offers breathtaking, fairytale views of green fields and towering ancient trees. Our dual-aspect bedroom (215) was spacious and peaceful, with a super comfortable bed. The location is perfect for reconnecting with nature — clean air, tranquil surroundings, and only a short walk to a picturesque, friendly town. The on-site museum was a lovely surprise, filled with fascinating history about the hotel and its owners. We treated ourselves to the afternoon tea — it was absolutely scrumptious, from savoury mini burgers to delicious desserts (I couldn’t stop eating!). A truly unique experience and a wonderful base for scenic walks. We’ll definitely be back!

Atholl Palace Hotel truly feels like something out of a fairytale. The breathtaking views — endless green fields, ancient needle trees, and rolling hills — are simply unforgettable. Our spacious dual‑aspect window bedroom offered panoramic vistas from sunrise to sunset, and the bed was so comfortable it was genuinely hard to leave in the morning!||The on‑site museum was a lovely surprise, offering a fascinating glimpse into the hotel's rich history. We enjoyed learning about its beginnings, the vision of its early owners, and how it developed over the years. The collection of historical photos and artifacts added real depth to our stay and gave us a new appreciation for the building and its heritage.||The location is perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with nature, recharge, and soak in the clean, fresh air. It's peaceful and serene, yet just a short and scenic walk to a picturesque town full of charm and warm, friendly locals.||One of the highlights was the scrumptious afternoon tea — a special treat! Every bite, from the savoury mini burgers and delicate salmon sandwiches to the beautifully presented desserts, was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t stop eating — we left feeling very full and very happy!||This is a truly unique and memorable place, ideal as a base for walks, peaceful reflection, or simply enjoying the scenery. With the added touch of history and character, it’s an experience that stands apart. We’ll definitely return — we left completely recharged.

Beautiful grounds and a lot of hiking options. It is not super close to the center of town but if you don't mind walking it is doable. The hotel has a spa and pool. I did use the services which were nice. The bonus is this hotel offers self-service laundry, but the dryer did not do a good job after 56 minutes my laundry was still damp. They only had 2 washers and 2 dryers, so you felt the pressure to not use it more than once. You can purchase laundry soap OR bring your own. The hotel had a nice breakfast buffet, but it was the same offering as about every hotel I stayed in. It was an impressive hotel and has a wonderful story behind it with a cute museum downstairs to tell you about the history. My room was clean, and the hotel was very nice, at check in they offer you a shot of their whiskey, the raspberry was delicious. Hotel is large and the grounds extensive. One of my favorite stays.

We just had the best time EVER at Atholl Palace hotel. The hotel is stunning. A very impressive building with amazing architecture. The spa/pool is just perfect. Nice bar with very nice drinks selection. Car park right next to front door plenty of spaces. Breakfast was very nice indeed. Lovely staff. Everything just perfect!||I would like to make a very special mention to reception team leader Zoshya. I had booked this trip last minute as we had some bad news recently and wanted to cheer my fiance up. She upgraded us to the incredible Turret Suite and it was honestly unbelievable.||Zoshya thank you do much it was an amazing gesture and you really made our trip extra special. We really truly appreciate it!||A credit to the hotel.||Kindest regards ||Stuart and Maureen x

Stayed for two nights in May. What a stunning place: set in spectacular grounds; the best location to unwind and relax. However, the most memorable for us, undoubtedly, was the hotel staff. Simply, the most attentive, friendly, professional, and hardworking that we have ever encountered! The service was excellent. Delicious dinner in The Verandah Restaurant. Generous portions which were piping hot. Breakfast selection was extensive and of a very high quality. The room was clean and spacious (our beds were really comfy ). Already planning our return visit! Thank you!

The hotel stays itself was great - loved our rooms. However the restaurant was disappointing this time. ||The staff were not attentive or even smiling. Couldn’t order hot breakfast from the menu only buffet. No offer of other coffees apart from filter. ||We ate once in the Verranda as part of our rate. Sadly very underwhelming again. Just felt like the staff didn’t want to be there. Food was just ok not worth the rate at all. ||It’s a real shame as 18 months ago it was so brilliant couldn’t fault it.

It is a beautiful hotel in gorgeous grounds. The staff were great. The Spa is good with a lovely pool. Enjoyed the two mini golf facilities. |It is very grand until you scratch the surface.......|We were in a 'cottage' - which wasn't a cottage at all - it was an apartment in a house (very disappointing!). With people upstairs - no insulation so you could hear ever step they took, every word they said and their TV!|It was self catering - but the kitchen was really poorly equipped. Random plates and bowls, not matching in design or number. Very little cutlery. No tea towels!! |NO CORKSCREW!!! so every time we wanted to open a bottle of wine we had to walk to the hotel and ask the bar staff to open it for us!!! Oh but wait - there was a pastry brush!!!!!|Pathetic shower - just a hose taken from the bath taps.|The food was very expensive for what it was - basically just pub grub - £26 for a chicken burger, £40 for afternoon tea!|The picnic bench outside our 'cottage' was in a state of complete disrepair - paint peeling of the top and seats, dirty and old. Disgusting to eat off. |The bulb in my bedside table had blown so I took it to reception and asked for another. I was told someone would come and replace it - 4 days later - still no bulb!||This is not a cheap hotel - and I am sure the overheads are huge but if you are going to charge that much - even for self catering - it has to be better, much better
