Overall a nice stay at the Travelodge in Dundee. We only stayed for one night as a stop over but we were really happy with our stay at a very good price.||Easy hotel to find with plenty of parking, you register your reg at the reception and then you could park for free. The reception staff were always available and very helpful. ||We were surprisingly pleased with our room. We got given a huge family room which we weren't expecting, very high ceiling and lots of space. Everything was pretty clean and we were generally happy, some bits of the room needed some tlc but for the price we paid we were happy. The bathroom was a nice size and had soap and shower gel. The extractor fan did not work but we just had the door open when showering and had no issues. The shower was also pretty good. The room had a good sized TV and plenty of space to store our belongings. The bed was also really comfy and we both slept really well as it was very quiet there.||The location was perfect for us with a short walk into the main centre with some shops and lots of places to eat, we also walked to the sea front and found plenty to look at.||We would recommend this hotel for a cheap and comfy stay with convenient city location and free parking.

I hate leaving negative reviews but we left the Travelodge feeling very disappointed with our stay. We don't live in Dundee and had a special reason for coming. However, it was far from what we expected, given we paid almost £100. For one thing, it was too noisy at night with drunk people outside, shouting and yelling in people's faces. There were also drunk people in the hotel too, shouting and banging things in their rooms on multiple different floors and in the hallways - this could be heard all through the night and right up to five o'clock in the morning - not good as we had to be somewhere early in the morning that day and had next to no sleep. Our room also wasn't very clean. We found a slice of half-eaten old pizza under one of the beds, which makes you question whether the room was actually cleaned at all. The shower wasn't very powerful and due to the weakness of it, water kept spraying out onto the bathroom floor and anywhere but in the bathtub and barely cleaned us. A few saving graces however, we're the comfiness of the beds and the cool temperature of the room itself. The towels were also aplenty and we appreciated the coffee and teas provided. Unfortunately, this booking was not anywhere near worth what I paid and we left feeling really disappointed. I would prefer to have my money back at this point.

10/10!! We were in room 223 very spacious no hassle quiet room!!! Needed after doof in the park😂😂it’s always a great stay here and very central ….coffee and tea facilities available beds comfy and clean!!! Whole travelodge is clean! Ideal for a peaceful sleep which is just what we got!!! |Early check in and late check out…perfect and a small price to stay without stressing x

Are the staff forced to work there, nobody is happy in this place, not just here but go into town and everybody is miserable. You'd think it's voluntary but no, they get a wage and still miserable. What's wrong with locals here, I've never seen people this unhappy as a whole anywhere else in the UK. I'm sure the toiletries are even watered down 🤦🏽‍♂️🤔😂
The only friendly person in this area was a homeless addict of some sort. What a nice guy he was, give him a room and clean him up and you'd have a much nicer staff to welcome people spending the night here.

Room was ok in general although bed very hard, bathroom ceiling paint falling off, shower roasting unable to adjust heat of it.
Loud generator outside window very loud even with window closed.
Carpets very dirty in room, elevator and corridor.
Outside entrance was smelly, dirty and full of rubbish.
On arrival staff were pleasant and welcoming, we ask for ironing board and iron, 5 hours later we had to go to reception and ask again for these at which the staff member handed items to my wife to bring up to the room herself.

Although handy to city centre don't think we'd be staying here again.

Had an excellent stay last week. Really large room with all room servicing done to a high standard. There were really friendly staff who helped us to get to know Dundee. Really close to the city centre and waterfront - about a 10 minute walk. Highly recommended.

Had a great stay at this very central Travelodge. Morven at reception was especially helpful and lovely so I wanted to say a big thanks to her. Rooms are large, airy and comfortable. Will definitely come back here the next time I am visiting Dundee.

Whilst the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, the arrival experience if you are driving could be better. There is no where to park out the front on a busy road and the booking confirmation did not give any instructions on how to locate the car park.|A small fridge in the room would be appreciated.
