My husband and I stayed here during our round trip through Scotland. The rooms are spacious and clean. The couple that owns it are wonderful. They are very enthusiastic, have lots of tips on what to visit or where to eat. Plenty choice for breakfast and absolutely delicious! Stanley is a nice town, Perth is nearby, it is an excellent stop of the A9 to Inverness.

Hosts Etta and Amos were lovely and welcoming and the B&B was well located and the breakfasts excellent. They have a lot of repeat customers and many who come to fish in the local rivers. The village is pretty and good as a launching place for Perth or Stirling and it has a good local pub with quality food. Room was nice and comfortable.

Absolutely the most delightful B&B I stayed at in all my time in Scotland. ||||The couple who run it were both very friendly and accommodating, and they were more than happy to answer any questions we had about what to do and where to eat in the area.||||The rooms we stayed in were warm and homey, and colour themed (mine was blue). There was a TV and tea and coffee facilities in every room, and there were ample toiletries provided in our shared bathroom.||||In the morning, there was a wide variety of cold breakfast items, and if you're ordering a hot breakfast, I strongly recommend the cheese and mushroom crepe which was delicious.

My son and I stopped at The Linn for a night whilst travelling through Perthshire (Perth and Kinross). Soft, comfy beds and friendly company, superb breakfast (difficult to find better at any 5-star hotel in the UK) and set in the lovely, well-kept Mill village of Stanley. Beautiful outlook from the sitting room. Incidentally, the Mill around which the village was built, now comprises a set of apartments and the Mill Museum - very interesting.||Close to the A9. Perfectly suited for those wishing to fish on the Tay - there were a couple of anglers there who said they had stayed there the week previously and enjoyed it immensely. A short drive (pardon the pun) from several golf courses, including the famous "old course" at St. Andrews. And only 10 miles or so from the historic city of Perth (now officially a city, once again!) with it's great architecture, museums (e.g. Black Watch in Balhousie Castle), and Scone Palace, where the ancient Kings of Scotland were crowned. ||One warning - be careful driving on the winding roads toward Stanley as they have very sharp, surprising bends!
