Beautiful rural setting,Jim and Yvonne were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, very comfy beds, beautiful decor throughout, great rain shower and complimentary toiletries, access to the patio/garden/3 tier seating area, which includes summer room, sauna and jacuzzi is through french doors from your bedroom, breakfast was superb and cooked to order by Jim, would definitely stay here again if in the area

What a beautiful place! We last minute decided to head for a night away and from the moment my husband rang up Yvonne (the owner) was lovely. We arrived and were greater by Yvonne who was so helpful and friendly telling us the best places to eat and what was close by. |Then she showed us to our room Wow! One of the nicest places we have stayed, everything was finished to a very high standard and immaculately clean and omg the best shower we have ever had! We had double doors out on to the patio where there is a summer house, hot tub and outside seating. |In the morning breakfast was amazing, all freshly cooked and very good quality. ||We would highly recommended and would love to go back and stay again!

We discovered this wonderful guest house on TripAdvisor and based on great reviews we booked it directly with the owners. We were on a long driving vacation in Scotland and this beautiful guest house was a great stopover. We were greeted by the owner Yvonne and later met her husband Jim. They could not have been nicer or more helpful. The B&B is new construction and was well designed with modern bathrooms, great beds and lovely furnishings and decorations. Outside the rooms is a beautiful patio with a sitting room, outdoor furnishings, a hot tub and sauna. Breakfast in the morning was cooked to order and an outstanding meal. My wife and I have traveled extensively and stayed in many B&B’s. This is definetly one of the best and we highly recommend it

Absolutely over the moon with our stay at kirkwirral guest house! Evoyne and Jim were exceptionally welcoming and so friendly! The house was very upto date and immaculate! Breakfast was unreal and so fresh! The jacuzzi was fab.. nice, hot and very spacious! Evyonee made sure we were content and happy from the minute we arrived, could not fault this place! Ideal for a couples chilled night away! Thanks Evyonee and Jim x

Staff were awful went for couple nights to get away from home, owners were bad mannered watching us in the hot tub to make sure we only stayed in 15 minutes max and then came out being abusive we didnt even stay a night and have been refunded 40 from 300!!!! Place is horrible would not recommend in the slightest

Great accommodation with safe parking. A fairly new build guest house with our room overlooking garden including jacuzzi and sauna. Room itself well equipped esp en suite bathroom with quality towels etc Breakfast was excellent - top quality bacon, etc. The hostess was very helpful when we checked in and also served the delicious breakfast. We didn’t have time to use jacuzzi nor sauna but would have been tempted if had more time

Very homely B&B with super hosts. Beautiful setting in rural feeling but near the hospital and town. Rooms are well decorated, comfy bed, good quality linens and great shower. Breakfast cooked to order and good choices available. Hot tub and sauna if you want to chill.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.
My dad was taken into critical care at Dumfries, and travelling from Manchester we were a bit stuck with where to stay. Luckily Kirkwirral had rooms available. Yvonne was brilliant - an understanding and supportive host, we could come and go as we needed. We were at the hospital all night and sleeping during the day, so we didn't get to experience the hot tub and sauna but they looked wonderful. The rooms were clean with contemporary cosy decor, breakfast everything you could ask for. We hope to be back for a relaxing weekend under better circumstances. A lovely tranquil sanctuary which made a terrible situation easier to endure. They also have chickens and an utterly charming cat!!
