Me and my fiance went in on the 30th of May 2025 and we both ordered a mixed grill for £15.50 each we asked for the steak to be medium but was done well done and burnt the sausage was warmed up from the morning it definitely wasn't fresh the peas were dry the fried egg was hard when we asked for a soft egg the gamon was like leather we used to be regular customers but after this experience we definitely won't be back which is a shame I also left a review on trip advisor with a photo of what was left but I think the cook needs trained on how to cook steaks and for £15.50 it should all be fresh for that price that's why I'm leaving a 1 star .

Customer service was outstanding from lovely Dani. A warm welcome and fast service. For a small breakfast for only £5.99 you can't complain. Everything was cooked to our standard anyway. My dads also a chef and likes to complain but his only complaint was he didn't didn't order the larger breakfast.

After a long coastal hike, the Exchequer was a welcome find for our group. Modern, clean, and inviting, it offered affordable food and drinks in generous portions. The staff were friendly and attentive, making for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. A great spot to unwind after exploring the coast. I had the BBQ Mac Burger and a loaded sundae—both were delicious.

The food was great, we managed to get a booth so that was great. The music is loud, I struggled to hear conversation over it. But it was 7pm on a Saturday so that's probably the vibe at that time.
The staff were prompt with our food and condiments, but some staff acted like they were pissed off with all the customers. Maybe they weren't well or having a bad night

Can either order from the app at your table or at the bar. Good selection of meals for all tastes. All day breakfast was a big hit and Hunters Chicken was good (peas a little over cooked) excellent service at lunch time. Looking around, we could see there was a good variety of different incentives to encourage people to come in eg. Board games night, free soft drink with meals till 4pm and others. Enjoyed our meal

Awesome place for both food and drinks! It's not too overcrowded and it's suitable both for families or just friendly hangout. Food and cocktails are pretty good and cheap, so it's great. There's a nice deal where you can get 3, 5, or 7 (i think) small plates, for decent price, but usually with 3 plates you'll get 2-3 people full probably, so it's a really nice deal for £11! Also good fish and chips and desserts:)

Great lunch today. Had the Sunday roast and it was huge, would honestly serve 2. As it was Sunday it was 2 for 1 on desserts. Its Sunday why not and even better with a discount.
Honestly stuffed. Danni was very attentive and made our visit more enjoyable. A little mistake and she fixed it with no hassles. We're human and mistakes happen, I always say its how you deal with a mistake that counts and Danni was amazing. Looking forward to our next visit.
