We booked with short notice and when we arrived the poor gentleman had been unaware we were coming due to a communication issue. However he was super friendly and welcoming. He could not have done enough to make us feel at home.
The rooms were spacious and had everything you could possibly need (be aware it only had a shower, no bath). The tea tray had a couple of small breakfast options included which was fantastic. We did not take advantage of the included breakfast at the boathouse so can not comment on that aspect.
The bed was firm but comfortable and the whole place felt homely. The view from the sitting room was spectacular and we sat for a long time watching the Forth.
The street it is located in had a couple of pubs further along should you want to go out in the evening. And the harbour and tidal swimming pool are only a few minutes walk along.
The only thing to be aware of is due to the old nature of the streets, they are very narrow and have very limited parking so it is worth planning accordingly.
Would not hesitate to return. Highly recommend.
