Now this is the place to go. I stayed here two nights, ate at the restaurant, and drank at the bar. This pub is most outstanding for the people who work there. They are the most lovely and friendly workers and owners I have met in ages. It also has comfortable and beyond that nice accommodations, and good food. If you take one thing away from this, you absolutely must have the sticky toffee pudding, preferably with the custard topping.

Been driving past this place for years saying that we must try it for something to eat. We finally got round to it today! Super friendly, nice and accommodating stuff is the most obvious thing to mention. It's good, honest pub grub - we both had a burger and enjoyed it. For afters, it was an apple pie and chocolate fudge cake, both with ice cream - really nice. The prices are good and we'll definitely be back.

Visited for food. Main courses were acceptable quality although service was very slow. Made the mistake of ordering coffee with desserts though. Was served a cup of what was clearly a budget brand instant coffee, not even close to an acceptable quality. Left most of it as the lack of quality was making me feel sick. Used to be good but will never return.

Came for food on the off chance as not been for years. Must say I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly, service was good.. nothing was too much trouble. It's small things in hospitality, like asking for ice and lemon in the glass and getting it first time!
I opted for the salad which was the chefs special one with a bit of everything. It was delicious. My dad has the fish and chips which looked again a good portion and he enjoyed it. I didn't taste so can't comment.
Squeezed in a dessert as couldn't resist the rhubarb crumble.
Will definitely be back.
