Comfortable room and bed. Theresa was very welcoming and did her best to accommodate our different breakfast times. We were able to use the kitchen facilities for a tea or coffee any time. Great situation for bus routes and near to café, restaurant, pub and shop. Front room a bit noisy as traffic seems to go most of the night. After a few nights we began to get used to that though. Theresa was so friendly and never seemed in a hurry, plenty time to speak.

Theresa Gallegher, the owner of St. Alma B&B, is a wonderful operator of the B&B. We landed on her doorstep when we couldn't rent a car - none were available in Stirling and a cab driver dropped us at St. Alma. We are an older couple and were adjusting our travel plans based on no available car rental. Theresa helped us out by dropping us off at Stirling Castle and we had an interesting time seeing the castle over a couple of hours. Theresa recommended a local pub at the end of Causeway Road and it was a nice local pub with good beer and friendly people. Next morning Theresa dropped us off at the William Wallace Monument and we climbed the 300+ steps to the top and what a view of the local area! Theresa's breakfast was one of the best we experienced in Ireland and Scotland. Just a friendly, helpful person and a bright, clean, sunny room to stay in.

Stayed at St Alma every time I had to visit University of Stirling. Was allowed to use the kitchen to make tea and have snacks. Theresa was very welcoming and flexible. Rooms were clean so was the shared bathroom - no complaints there. Dining room was not quite 'B&B like' - the ironing board was at one corner! Location wise is almost perfect, grocery store, fish & chip shop, Italian restaurant, bakery, barber - all just around the corner. Bus stop right in front of the house. Uni 10-15 mins walk away, 30-35 mins walk to city/railway station.

This is not just any B&B. It's a house with a soul. Comfortable and quiet rooms are matched with amazing hospitality of the owner, Theresa, who is one of those people that enrich you just by their presence. Be sure you'll get a yummy breakfast made with love. Highly recommended B&B for short and longer stays.

St Alma is a family run bed and breakfast, ideal as a base for exploring Stirling and the surrounding areas or just as an overnight stop to visit the main sights. The owner, Theresa, is old school but very friendly, accommodating and reliable so best to contact her by phone and confirm your booking that way!||||The B and B is located on Causewayhead Road right under the Wallace monument and near the University of Stirling, both a short walk away. Stirling itself is easily accessible; on foot it is 20 minutes or just a few minutes by car.||||There is limited parking outside the property but plenty of parking on the residential streets around. There is a supermarket, café and excellent fish and chip shop one minute away, and a play park to entertain the kids on a sunny afternoon.||||The property has a mix of en suite and shared facilities rooms but they are all clean and serviced well.

After very wet day full of showers, all we needed was a warm bed. This B&B is run by a very lovely and friendly lady who brings family touch. It is well situated, only 10 mins walk from Wallace monument. Only shame no kette in the room.

Booked the family room at this B & B knowing the Ryder Cup was on at the time. Wanted to be 100% sure that the accomodation requested was booked and confirmed well in advance.||Received confirmation by the owner Theersa on the 12th August saying family room and price was confirmed. On arrival found that she had booked out our room to some friends who were going to see the Ryder cup over the 3 days. (my booking was only for one night). Was shown the only available room left, a tiny basic double room with a shared shower and toilet outside the room.(with multiple bottles of peoples body wash /hair shampoo on the floor of the shower) No basic tea and coffe facilities in the room as she advised me that people spill things on the floor so they don't provide this anymore even though the Stirling B & B website still say they do. In fact there was a sign outside my room that said No food or drinks to be taken into the room.||Breakfast was just as bad without asking they were going to make us a full breakfast and had already started cooking the fried eggs. When we said we didn't want the full breakfast and only wanted poached eggs on toast they still brought out the fried eggs they had been cooking.||All in all a very bad experience and the worst we had experienced in our 25 day tour around the UK and the only one that does not provide tea and coffee making facilities in my entire holiday.||If we could have gone elsewhere we would have but due to the accomodation shortage with the Ryder Cup golf tournament on this was not an option and Theresa our host knew that. Although being apologetic with the room situation an apology does not work when you have a confirmed booking in writing from the owner and then she rents our room to someone else who comes later is not good customer service. I would never go their again and would suggest others do the same or at the very least make it their last choice.||Last but not least they said off street parking was available but one of the people staying decided to go to the Ryder Cup and leave his car parked in the middle of the parking area leaving no room for anyone else to park just in case they came back and wanted to use their car.

Looking out the window to the Wallace monument with a cup of hot coffe is a great way to start the day in the spirit of scotland.||Clean, neat and prim. The breakfast is a treat and you receive warmth in each bite. Feeling at home.
