Excellent, small, family run hotel. Great location only a short walk into the town. Free parking at the front of the hotel. Owners were really very lovely and friendly. Hotel is clean and our room had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing, well cooked full breakfast and lots of choice too. We took bikes and they had a secure storage.

We decided on a wee breakaway. We booked Poppies and were so glad we did… We had a lovely time . A beautiful Hotel with excellent attention to detail. . Better than many 5 or 4 star rated hotels we have stayed in.. ||The room was spacious, very well appointed. The bed comfy , the views were braw. All the amenities you would expect. Totally spotless. We loved it . Even though it was only one night away we wished we had booked longer. ||The breakfast was one of the best we have had . Totally delicious. Made fresh with excellent ingredients , produce. ||John and Susan the owners were grand. There was a bar with a fantastic range of Whisky’s and Gin. . ||We look forward to returning a pure Gem.

The building was historic and our hosts were warm and friendly. The decor was unique and their breakfast was so good. They were very helpful when I had an episode and I would recommend them over and over. The small town had some unusual shops. Plus it has at least 2 nice restaurants which serve lamb. Our hosts even made a reservation for us. There are very nice walks around the area that are not to be missed.

Poppies is a lovely | B&B in central Callander. |Room was large with good storage space, and outlets (for asst electronics). Bathroom was also large and had a wonderful soaking tub. ||They have a great cooked to order breakfast with additional pastries, cereals and fruit on the Buffett. ||John and Susan have created a wonderful place to stay if you are that part of Scotland.

The owners John and Susan were very kind to us and gave great advice on local establishments. the breakfasts and bar were fabulous. ... thank you both very much. Callander is a great place to stay with easy access to plenty of Bens and Lochs nearby. Highly recommend

Lovely place to stay we come in soaking wet after our walk they dried all our wet outdoor clothes and shoes.|The Room was great tea and coffee and ensuite nice quiet area of calender.|Breakfast was good catered for my gluten intolerance.there was a place to sit down stairs as well.

Stayed here for one night, our standard double room was a good size, with all the amenities you would expect. Nice room actually, with a lovely big bay window, very clean and tasteful decor. Breakfast has to be preordered the night before which really wasn’t an issue for us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were roomy and spotless. Lovely big shower head in the bathroom which blasted off the cobwebs from a night of overdoing the whisky consumption! The breakfast was fantastic! In fact, my wife said it was the best she’d ever experienced in a hotel or b&b and that is saying something. Really well run hotel, highly recommended.

Poppies is a guesthouse set back from the main road of Callander, within convenient reach of the centre and run by a husband and wife. It has a bar open for guests a few hours each day. The service is friendly and personal.||Our room, which I think ranked as “superior”, was front-facing and in good condition. It was large, with plenty of storage space, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also good-sized, with an over-bath shower. A tendency to steam up (despite a fan) could be readily cured by opening the window slightly. The breakfast was particularly good. It needed to be ordered overnight, but as a result it came fresh, hot and well-presented.||This is another example of what a good B&B should be.
