We had a 3 night stay here, during some refurbishment of the reception area, this did not impact on our stay, and when we left the area was looking good. We stayed in the Lily suite a lovely choice which looks newly decorated and fitted out to a very high standard, we both particularly liked the bathroom and star lights! We used all of the hotels facilities treating ourselves both to a hot stone massage which was delightful and relaxing. A nice pool with sauna and steam room. We ate in the brasserie on our first night, the food was top class it surprised us that throughout our stay that only a few guests choose to eat here. We had the catch of the day and it was lucky for me that it was Skate a particular favourite the good food was matched by the service, the only thing that did let it down was the state of the table which looked grubby and needs replacing as does many of the wooden tables. Breakfast was buffet style plenty of choice and again very good. The staff throughout the hotel were very good and special mention to the barman who was very friendly and attentive during our stay. Reception could be more welcoming and friendly especially when you are the initial point of contact during your stay and early impressions count.|Overall a lovely break and The Connaught is a hotel that I would highly recommend and return to.

I have stayed here about 4 times with my best friend - we have taken advantage of the amazing gin infused spa break deal each time. Can't fault this deal, it is superb value for money with an afternoon tea and 55 minute massage included along with three course evening meal, overnight stay with breakfast and £30 bar voucher which doesn't have to be spent on gin. The hotel itself is excellently located only a minute's walk from the beach, and it's at the quieter end of town so very peaceful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the spa is a little tired perhaps, but otherwise clean and has everything you could want. The massages are always wonderful, the bar is excellently stocked, the staff are attentive and friendly, and the food is always above expectations. Looking forward to another visit very soon!

My Mum and I had an afternoon tea with a voucher my Mum was given for her Birthday. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was yummy and presentation was spot on. The only thing was the scones were a bit hard. Hotel was neat and tidy. We felt like we were on the Titanic in the eating area, the floor was beautiful. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful. We are thinking of having a spa day here at some point. We would recommend this hotel, we think it's a great place to meet up with friends and family.

This is definitely one of the more modern hotels in Bournemouth. The entrance hall and dining facilities are bright, welcoming & modern. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The lunch at the restaurant was really nice & the staff were really attentive. The spa facilities were lovely, warm pool & jacuzzi. We also enjoyed the steam room & sauna. We had a slight issue with a noisy Air Conditioning unit in our room, we called reception at around 10pm, they immediately moved us to another room. We will definitely stay here again. Also Hannah who was our therapist at the spa was amazing, the treatment was so relaxing, she really went over and above.

Very good staff, especially Kevin.
Good spacious room. Excellent pool and hot tub.
I would have given it 5 stars if the bed hadn't been so firm/ hard, resulting in a poor quality of sleep for me.

We had a great week away in Bournemouth, and we stayed at this hotel. The staff are all amazing, so friendly and helpful. The facilities were good, it was all very clean too. I had an amazing massage which was done by Sharon (I’m sure that was her name), she made me very comfortable when I was anxious and was very kind and friendly. There are only a couple of small things we noticed, which are more notes to the ‘big bosses’.|| Having paid what is not a small amount of money for a week here (happy with price) we then had to pay £10 a night just to park the car in the hotel car park, which we thought was ridiculous. We can understand having to show that you’re staying at the hotel to use the hotel car park, but we felt £10 a night was robbery having already paid for a weeks stay. In our opinion, if you’re paying over £100 a night, you should be allowed to park your car in the establishment for no cost. ||In the room, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it honestly felt like sleeping on a brick. I genuinely struggled to sleep on the bed. In our room the bath panel was damaged and didn’t seem fully attached. The tops of the dressing table and bedside tables were glass, which wasn’t attached in any effort, and nearly resulted in an accident (totally avoidable, a quick fix would be to attach the glass tops). ||The bedroom could have done with a plug socket closer to the bed. For a hotel of this star number we would have expected the TV to have a Netflix option rather than standard tv. ||We felt some lounge beds in the pool area wouldn’t go amiss, but understand there may be some struggle as the pool area is small (but still lovely). ||Would recommend a stay here of up to two nights.

Had a really nice stay, staff are really helpful, especially Tom who helped with our bags and made great recommendations from the menu. |The breakfast was really good quality and plenty of choice. |The pool, sauna, hot tub and steam room were an added bonus.||The food in the Brassiere was superb, a small menu very well executed and you can tell they have a pasty chef in residence. |All round good stay, some bedroom / bathroom areas are a little dated but that didn't matter much, the beds were comfy.

Outstanding. We had the most amazing stay here for two nights.
Lunch/afternoon tea/dinner was stand out in the brasserie. The quality of the food and ingredients really stood out.
The scones during afternoon tea were homemade too! Absolutely delicious.
Some of the reviews we seen online before visiting made us feel very sceptical, however, the hotel itself is so lovely. It’s definitely a ‘classic’ feel which takes you back in time. Majority of the rooms are recently refurbished and the hallways are in the process of being refurbished - which demonstrates the management do care about the hotel. Massage and spa was 11/10.

Thanks to all the lovely staff , particularly Ana on the front desk, Tomas the bar manager and the sweet lady who served us lunch and afternoon tea in the brassiere.

Such a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning!
