This was our fourth stay here. The staff are very friendly and really go out of their way to help. Mel always takes the time to chat with us and makes us feel so welcome. |We've had 4 different rooms and they were always clean and comfortable. Shower is always hot. Breakfast is a real treat. Excellent value for money and we can't wait to see you all again round Easter time for stay no. 5.|Thanks from Neil and Pete.

Great location, excellent value, staff were very nice and offered to check us in early. You do have to pay for parking but its not too expensive for how little parking there is on the street. Room was clean and bed was comfy to sleep in

It's one of the worst hotels I've stayed in, and never again will I stay here. Where shall I start....Check in very quickly and easily and only had a meal in the cafe once but wasn't impressed what was on offer. Very basic and small menu. Premier Inn has more choice. The breakfast however was ok. Buffet style although the first morning, there was no cooked breakfast until 7.30. I went down just after 7.15. The hotel itself is very outdated. I found many faults with my room with many dents as included in the picture(s) and as for being on the 1st floor, I had to have my curtains closed as there was no nets on the windows plus my room was right by the kitchen equipment so very noisy up till 10pm each night. When it rained, the guttering seemed to be blocked, so it was like Niagara Falls. So if you like basic, cheap and creaking floorboards, then this hotel will be good for you but for me, never....

Update: Having complained to customer services about the situation, all I got back was £35 compensation for the blocked guttering, let alone all the other issues with the room. I would definitely won't be coming back to this hotel again. I'd rather stick with Premier inn who I know will get a good night's sleep

Stayed for a couple of nights and had a very nice stay. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were staying with our dog, the staff made him also very welcome and wanted to say hello. |Room was clean and had everything we needed. Hotel was in the middle of an upgrade but didn’t affect our stay and builders seemed polite and friendly too. |Only slight criticism was that on our first night, guests above us sounded like they were running across the floor until around 3.00am not the hotel’s fault, but didn’t get much sleep that night, sound proofing between floors a little lacking, something just to bare in mind. |Overall we have a lovely stay and was very reasonably priced. Thank you.

Guests’ comments most often centre on hotel cleanliness and hygiene. At the Travel Lodge this is impeccable. The rooms and diner are airy and spacious. So let’s focus on service, which is exceedingly good. All staff, from the manager to chambermaids, excel in terms of thoughtfulness, attention to detail, calmness and warmth. It makes staying at the Lodge a pleasure. Contrast that with, say, the Dolphin Hotel, Swansea, where the erratic manager behaves like a psychopathic Basil Fawlty (of ‘Fawlty Towers’) on a bad hair day! Many London hotels would do well to match staff efficiency and courteousness at Travel Lodge. | For balance, one small improvement is recommended. When guests register their vehicles parking payment is made to an unlit machine outside which is uncovered; if it happens to be raining you get wet. This could be remedied within hours by erecting a cover above the machine.

1 star for a number of reasons main on being it's advertised as having a carpark but can probably accommodate less than 30 cars tightly, for a hotel that probably has in excess of 80 rooms means most of the time you're going to have to find parking elsewhere, we arrived at 4pm and I drove around for in excess of 40 minutes to find an on road parking space.

The room was clean, the shower was awful, the TV wasn't able to be angled to the bed. The hotel smelt like a rabbit hutch in common areas and our room was situated above the kitchen vent air conditioning thing. A travel lodge is a travel lodge, I've stayed in many and will stay in others when the price is right, but this didn't stand out to me as a particularly good one and certainly not on I'd stay in again when I visit Bournemouth.

Not what you would expect from a hotel. Made a last minute booking as the property seemed quite nice and pleasant from the website photos. Arrived just a few minutes early from checking in but they still allowed me to proceed which was great. Given a room on the first floor. First impressions, clean as you would expect from a hotel room until I looked out of the window to find myself by the kitchen equipment which they didn't shut off until 10pm, sometimes later. The USB sockets by the bedside didn't work properly and a TV that's a postage stamp on the wall and to top all of that, I later discovered a number of scratches and dents in the wall and woodwork. Would you want to stay in a hotel this way? Oh and when it rains, it's like niagara falls on the window and was like this the first 2 nights. I'll never stay here again and hope anyone reading this will think twice before booking

Location is perfect to explore the beaches and town centre. Polite friendly staff who are very helpful. Our room was a family room for 4 people which didn't have too much room but was ok for 3 nights. New shower head fitted, shower works well, with even temperature. Clean bed linen and towels. The TV is so old in the room it doesn't have hdmi or usb slots and so a very limited choice of live TV channels, that actually worked, as the only option. Parking is £7.50 per 24 hours and parking nearby is a bit of a nightmare to find and/or very expensive! Breakfast and dinner menu looks good and reasonably priced but we didn't eat in on this visit. A reasonable price and comfortable stay for an excellent location!
