Stayed one night as completing St. Cuthberts Way. The mill is very close to the path handy after a long day's walking. We arrived later than planned & notified owners which was not a problem. The accommodation was spotless, beds really comfy with bathroom having a great shower. Breakfast was excellent. Host was very welcoming. Would recommend and stay again. Many thanks for making our stay a pleasant one.

We stayed here at the end of the Pennine way for a couple of nights. ||The first night was after the section from Byrness to Clennell Street where Chris from Hownam taxi's collected us & drove us to Blunty's mill (This was pre arranged). The following day he took us back to Clennell Street for our final day of walking into Kirk Yetholm.||We were met by Charles who is great, nothing is too much trouble and he cooks a lovely breakfast as well.||The accommodation is two bedrooms each with its own private (not ensuite) bathroom. One bathroom has a bath but we had the one with the shower.||The bedroom is basic but very clean and comfortable and the shower was great.||There is a shared lounge and there was another couple staying when we stayed so we shared this area.||The pub is very close to the Border inn and just a short walk from Town Yetholm (you can cut across the field to avoid some of the road) were we ate at the Plough hotel for one night, eating at the Border hotel for our last night.||We enjoyed our stay here and Charles is a great host. ||Hownam's taxi's took us to the station in Berwick on Tweed the next day.

Very welcoming and comfortable. Lovely to have our own lounge too to relax after a long day walking. Very convenient for St Cuthbert's Way. Delicious breakfast served by the host. Veggie options not a problem.

Charles the owner meets you with a huge welcome. Very engaging and interesting after long day walking. The accommodation is more like a suite including a sitting room. Charles arrives in the morning donning his pinny and cooked a great breakfast before seeing us on our way. ||Best value for money of anywhere we stayed on the St Cuthbert's Way

After completing the Pennine Way and getting my free half pint and certificate I found my way to the property. It is only a two or three minute walk from the Border Inn and as the site is still being developed, first looks are deceptive. I was warmly greeted by Charles who is very friendly and found I had the whole building (it has three bedrooms plus large and comfortable lounge) to myself. The surrounding area was quiet and I had a lovely night's sleep. I had requested breakfast for 8am and found Charles waiting for me. The breakfast was huge, very tasty and extremely well presented. Rather than mess about with buses I had booked a taxi for noon to take me to Berwick upon Tweed station. Charles was happy for me to stay in the lounge until the taxi arrived. Thanks to Macs Adventures for booking me in here. Highly recommended.

Lovely newly built B&B in Kirk Yetholm, room was big with shared communal area which I had to myself as COVID only allows people in a bubble to stay.||The breakfast was very good, superior ingredients and perfectly cooked. Charles was a great host, nothing too much trouble and very approachable. In these strange times of COVID the rooms were spotless clean and the bathroom especially - I felt very safe. ||Overall amazing value for money, I would recommend this to individuals or groups either doing specific walks or just exploring the area.

The area around the property is still being built so doesn't appear welcoming. However, looks can be deceiving as Charles was there to meet us and make us feel very welcome. Rooms are clean, airy and beds good quality. Rooms are not en suite (at least mine wasn't) and bathroom is a little way down the corridor. The breakfast provided was of a very good standard and Charles was very helpful. In the evening we went to The Borders Hotel which is about 300yds up the hill in the centre of the village.

Another perfect stay here. I would say that this is the perfect bed and breakfast but that is doing an injustice as this is so much more than that. To have your own lounge to relax in after a hard days walking is fantastic and a powerful hot shower is just what is required.|
