I had a wonderful time at Castlehill Knowe.|I was able to feel at home all the time with delicious breakfast and warm hospitality of Sue and Roger. As everyone is writing in the review, you’ll feel like staying at one of your family’s home. |This was my first trip to Scotland, and I stayed there for 4 nights. It was a perfect location to explore the great nature. If I get another chance to travel there, I would definitely stay at Castlehill Knowe again!!!

Had a fantastic break in this beautiful rural homely BnB.Excellent food- with wide range of breakfast choices. Comfortable rooms with good facilities plus WiFi & charging sockets. Despite April showers watching rainbows, seeing a sparrow hawk close up while watching the varied bird life & in addition seeing newborn lambs made this a memorable holiday.
Hosts were very welcoming & hospitable.

Myself and elderly Mum were looking for somewhere rural and quiet to stay with genuine people and we got exactly that complete with friendly sheep and owls at night. Sue and Roger were the nicest hosts ever; accommodated our breakfast requests; recommended places to (and not to!) visit. Friendly and kind we couldn't have asked for better.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and peaceful and the scenery is just stunning, as is the beautiful garden. I hope to go back. Many thanks!

Sue and Roger are fantastic hosts, we have enjoyed another brilliant stay in this warm and welcoming B&B. We come to visit several times a year and call Castlehill Knowe a home away from home. The food is consistently delicious we are guaranteed to eat well and sleep well in the comfy beds with the softest bedding. Our son is two years old and loves the beautiful garden, running around with the sheep in the field and the company, Sue and Roger treat him like one of their own. ||I can recommend Castlehill B&B to families, couples and individuals who are looking for a relaxing getaway.

As many of the other reviews suggest, you'll receive a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The hospitality will be great and you will find yourself having interesting and cheerful conversations whilst lounging around the living room. We arrived on motorbikes, and as stated online, Sue & Roger are very biker friendly letting us take full advantage of their garage! We had a good nights sleep on the two single beds and were sorted out with a solid cooked breakfast. All of the accommodation is as stated on their website and payment was in cash or cheque. Furthermore, all of this is located within the gorgeous Manor Valley which is worth striking out into either by bicycle or on foot!

Sue & Roger offer an amazing welcome & superb hospitality. We have stayed overnight & for several days at a time. The welcome is always consistently friendly. The acomodation is extremely comfortable. The rooms have every facility. The views fantastic and the access to the Borders & Edinburgh good. ||We have rubbed shoulders with many nationalities - young and old, singles, couples and groups - cyclists, walkers, tourists & even a pony trekker on her way to Cornwall - Sue & Roger try to accomodate everyone's needs!||No wonder we are not the only 'returners' to this quality B&B and relaxing home....

We had a pleasant stay with Sue and Roger and were absolutely impressed by their warm welcome and great sense of humour. Peacefully beautiful rural landscape and freshly cooked food. Highly recommend this place for a retreat back to nature.
