Beautiful renovated stables( the name of the cottage). Enough space to give two people plenty of space. Well furnished with 1 & 1/2 bath, room to cook if you must. Could not be quieter. Huge outdoor area if you bring kids. Close to Melrose and other villages so there are lots of restaurants available.

What a brilliant place to escape to this beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Only 1.5 miles from Melrose town centre which is a lovely friendly town with nice places to eat and drink . Must mention the award winning butcher & fishmonger and artisan bread shop too. Stables cottage is so warm and cosy just the place to relax in peace and tranquility and luxury.

Wow! What an absolutely stunning cottage and grounds. We have had the best short break with our 2 doodles and we cannot thank our hosts enough for a beautiful retreat into the country (sorely needed).||We stayed in the stables and the cottage is immaculate with everything you could possibly need. ||We will definitely be back 🫶

Well this is certainly 5⭐plus. Accomodation so comfortable quiet and has everything you could need. The hosts Claire & Donald made us so welcome and looked after us like royalty, they have just thought of everything. Breakfast was amazing that home made granola, followed by the best smoked salmon. What a place to spend our wedding Anniversary just perfect Thank You.

Claire and Donald were exceptionally friendly and welcoming hosts who made us feel like one of the family from the moment we arrived. The Coach House is a beautiful home set in extensive grounds, about 20 mins walk from the centre of Melrose. The tastefully decorated guest accommodation was spotlessly clean with an excellent selection of toiletries, teas, coffees and biscuits provided to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was amazing with Claire’s delicious homemade granola (we came home with the recipe), Greek yoghurt and berries to start followed by Donald’s first rate cooked breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend The Barn highly enough. Would definitely book again if we were in the area. Genuinely 10/10 for everything.

This was our 2nd visit to Barn @ the Coachouse and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. ||Claire and Donald are lovely hosts and gave us a warm welcome on an unplanned short notice booking. ||The property itself is beautiful in its own grounds with private parking directly outside the main house. ||Our room was lovely; spacious, luxurious and well appointed with lots of little extras that made our stay feel special. The bed is comfortable and the shower great.||Breakfast was absolutely delicious; plentiful and well cooked using high quality produce. The setting was great too, each room has their own individual private dining area. ||Barn @ the Coachouse is a must if in the area and a special treat if not. We will definitely return and would thoroughly recommend ||Thank you so much Claire and Donald, It was nice chatting to you and swapping stories. This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed. On arrival you are greeted buy a beautiful building in lovely gardens. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful prior to and during your stay. The room is wow just wow, large spacious on the mezzanine floor. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Large TV in the room and comfy chairs as well as an extra little bedroom you have a large very comfy bed. Then there is the breakfast which was outstanding. The only negative was I didn't stay long enough !!!! Can't wait to go back.

From start to finish we had a wonderfully relaxing time in the lovely Saddlery Cottage, its very well equipped and has the most amazingly comfortable beds! Decorated to a high standard with everything you could possibly need. Well kept gardens and the chance to have a barbi during your stay. Its also very well situated with lots of places of interest on your door step and easy access to Melrose itself with lovely places to eat all within a 20 min walk. I cant recommend this place highly enough or the wonderful hosts Donald & Claire who just cant do enough for you, it was just what the Doctor ordered, thanks you guys you have a wonderful place, we loved it!!
