I recently stayed at this B & B. My room was no bigger than a broom cupboard. Single bed took up most of the room. I could not even lay my suitcase down to get items out. It had to stand at the end of the bed and this made the movement space even tighter. Movement in the room was almost impossible. The bathroom was a shared arrangement between four other guests. No separate toilet, so too bad if you needed to use the toilet if someone was in there. A very uncomfortable situation. There were larger rooms with double bed but for my 'broom cupboard' I was charged the same rate as other guests who had the larger room with larger bed. That was unjust. There was no 'hot' breakfast offered except for porridge. Other breakfast choices were poor. The staff were friendly, which was the only good thing I could say about this below standard accomodation. I am amazed that his B & B can be allowed to rent a 'broom cupboard' at the same rate as larger rooms. Needless to say my two night stay was most uncomfortable. I could not recommend this place.

Camping trip for large group. Friendly family run site. Facilities basic but clean. Toilet block has been modernised to a good standard. We are group of 30+ people and the camp field was very big and could have catered for a lot more. Family who run site spent lots of time with kids giving them tour of farm and even allowing them to feed the sheep

Very ordinary place to stay. Rooms quite small and a bit dated. Like the rest of the house. Our room did have and ensuite which was a bonus but it also was in need of a lot of TLC. No cooked breakfast was available and choices presented did not offer much variety. Our advice would be to find somewhere else to stay. One positive was its position in the countryside. Our room did have quite a nice view.

We booked a private party (around 50-60 people) into this site at very short notice. We run a small acoustic music festival every year and were let down by our normal venue. The staff on site were more than helpful. The facilities are well maintained and clean, and although the toilet/shower/laundry block is small, it is more than sufficient.||||I have provisionally booked the site for next year's festivities and we are all looking forward to returning.

The owner is lovely, and very helpful. The amenities are very clean and everything you need is there and works: washer, drier, iron, ironing board etc. There's a beautiful view across Glasgow at night and Ben Lomond during the day. The price was comparable to other caravan sites used. Nothing to complain about at all.

A review of contrasts. Not far from being both 'very good stopping off place, will be back' and 'never again'!||||This is not a caravan site, so don't expect one. It's a farm setting which stores 30/40 caravans next to a large hard standing area where caravans can pitch with electric hook-up. The hard standing cover is pretty heavy duty rubble with weeds around the edges. The shower/toilet block is good and the shower/ toilet/ sink cubicles are very good (but no hooks for hanging clothes!)||||Good track for walking dogs. ||||Stayed two nights because we couldn't get in the site near Largs and it was the nearest. The first night was fine but on returning the second evening the owner had pitched three tents of 'maw, paw, and the weans' within touching distance of us on the only strip of grass being used for camping. Because of the noise we decided to move our van at 9. 30 pm to the other end of the rubble covered area and it was ok, though the noise continued until 11. 30pm so I'm not sure about the rules of staying at Pannell Farm. ||||It's position is good for visiting Glasgow, Ayrshire, etc, but our experience wasn't very good. That is down to how the owner used the space that is available and maybe our bad luck regarding the rowdy group who were next to us. ||||This is a working farm with caravan storage, B&B and holiday cottages and I think that caravanners and campers are of secondary importance. ||||Also. £20 per night to stay in what really is a farm/caravan storage area? ||||We moved on to a farm site nearer Largs. £14 per night and a lovely location. ||||With some more thought it could be greatly improved.

Nice place to camp while visiting Greenock. Greeted warmly upon arrival and made to feel completely at home. Pitch next to barn and very quiet. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Nice views of the farm and countryside.

Warm and welcoming family run bed and breakfast on a working farm. I had a great nights sleep in this home from home. Very reasonable toast, juice and cereal help yourself type breakfast, coffee was good.
