We were so excited to end our month visit to Scotland in this hotel. Our understanding from when we booked it a couple months prior is that we would be staying in a family room in the old house that had nice table and chairs in the bay window of the tower. We also were under the impression that parking was free. Since it said “free parking” on the page.| When we arrived we saw the old beautiful house that looked just like it does in the pictures but then we saw an add on that we never saw in the pictures. We thought that was odd. Then we saw signs in the parking lot with a QR code so that you could pay for parking. As we entered the hotel the lobby/reception was pretty. We walked over to the receptionist who was working on the computer. We stood right in front of her for almost a minute before she acknowledged us, only to tell us she would be another minute. Right then I realized this “four star hotel” was not what it claims to be online. |Long story short we were put in a “family room” in the add-on that was not well lit and not big enough for a family. It really needed a wash down. Though the bed and bathroom looked clean the walls needed a wash down and spider webs needed to be removed. The bed was not comfortable. The dinner in the restaurant was ok but again the staff was not as professional and friendly as should be expected.| We were booked for three nights but left the morning after the first night. When my husband expressed to another receptionist about his disappointment in not being in the old house she responded with “ a lot of people think they are when they check in”||We did enjoy swimming in the pool and the man on staff there was friendly and obliging. However the pool and gym are not owned by the hotel. | |We didn’t ask for our money back and perhaps we should have, but we just wanted to get out of there.| |To who ever owns this place. You need to advertise correctly and show the add-on where the majority of the rooms are. Fix the lighting and maybe do things like cover the putty in the hallway with paint. Very clearly indicate that parking is NOT free. Perhaps encourage and train your staff on their professionalism and countenance. | We will never recommend this place to anyone, but hope that changes will happen.

My first time here, I was late arriving and I must admit I didn’t feel that warm welcome I was expecting from the receptionist especially when I have never stayed before. The whole pay for parking from an app when you’ve just completed a 5.5hr journey I don’t really want to stand in reception trying to sort an app out to pay for the parking.
The rooms were comfortable and had space but the bathroom I would say was a little grimy and it was an extremely tight fit where the toilet was situated.
I was told breakfast times had changed and I would need to pay for breakfast in the morning if I wanted it. When leaving the hotel reception was unable to provide me with an invoice as the system was new and not working, but they would get accounts to send one I’m still waiting 24hours on.
I didn’t really have time to look around but seems to be a large complex with a health spa.

When booking we got our room upgraded due to the staff knowing it was our anniversary (thanks Claire). Room was spotless and smelled nice when entering, room location next to leisure club and bar/restaurant, corridor very peaceful which allowed for non disturbed sleep. Food was great , lunch, dinner and breakfast next day, beer was great, staff went out their way to make cocktails of our choice (not on menu) which were delicious. All staff super friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel, leisure also good, great steam room. Nice walk into Invergowrie. We will defo be back.

We had good 2 night stay in Landmark Dundee while visiting family and friends. We got a good price for 2 nights. Did not use the bar or restaurant as we were eating out. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was very good. Great shower and comfy beds. |We didn't mind the £5 a night parking but having to use the QR reader and enter bank details was a fuss after a long days travel. Also, our dedicated driver could not get a pint from the bar when we returned after a day out as it shut at 10pm Mon - Wed! |We would use this hotel again as it is in a good location on the edge of Dundee and handy for the Kingsway. It has lovely gardens. We previously attended a wedding here, in 2021, and had a great time.

After an issue with our booking, Claire at reception was fantastic making sure that my parents were able to be comfortable in a room that was not an accessible room.
But later, after checking with the other booking was able to move them into the accessible room.

She was also super helpful in guiding us round some roadworks when the roundabout outside the hotel was unexpectedly closed and we were late for our dinner reservation.
She very kindly asked if the kitchen staff could stay to help us out, which they did (thank you team). The food was delicious.
I had your salmon and it was perfect.

My only improvement was that the hot water for the bath was a little tepid.
Small issue, it certainly would not discourage me from coming back or recommending it.

I would recommend just for the staff alone, however, the rooms are clean and spacious.
The rooms were super comfy and really clean.

May have been unlucky, again! Had been twice before in last two years and hoped things had improved. They had not. Two of us met for lunch and happened to coincide with a Saturday wedding. Parking not free (perhaps it is if stay the night!) and very fiddly to do, at reception, had to give far too much personal info. Way too few staff on duty, looking very stressed, though were pleasant and did their best. No other diners in restaurant. Simple lunch of soup and sandwich was pleasant enough. Will not return.

The first night went to the bar and wanted a Coca-Cola and the girl behind said it was bad for me and I told her some people have conditions that my doctor said for me to use it. Her attitude fortunately is NOT an example of all the others were very courteous, very kind and helpful. Too much furniture crammed in our room, but the deep tub and shower were excellent. The gardens, meadows were awesome the little castle in picture had rooms in it but we didn't get to stay in that part. Location off the motorway was perfect.

So service for us was amazing. However breakfast was so busy they couldn't keep up with demand how is this possible when the hotel has a count of everyone staying .... 🤔 the pool if the picture looks much bigger but in reality its a lucky to get 5 people in there. They have a gym it kinda basic but its got what you need. Beautiful gardens and location was good for us.
