This firm, knowing I was self-represented, worked tirelessly to frustrate me as a litigant in person and often acted in a manner that can only be described as flippant and rude. A firm that improbably claims to have seen a form discharged a year previously to obtain funding. Frequently ignoring court orders led to numerous unnecessary court proceedings, potentially requiring further taxpayer funding to support their case. They consistently filed the bundle late and in a disorganised manner; they also edited and even deleted my evidence from the bundle. They falsely claimed that I had not responded to the forms, despite having sent them multiple times. Although they acknowledged this, they continued to pressure me, as I was a LIP. I stood up to them and raised this misleading claim to their complaints representative, yet nothing was done. They contacted my workplace without court authority and for no apparent legal reason, alerting colleagues to unfounded accusations. Upon exchanging documents, they refused to exchange them mutually and acted unprofessionally by requiring the LIP to exchange first, issuing their usual threats of further proceedings, which they were willing to pursue, as the taxpayer funded them.

You expect some shenanigans as a LIP, but this was concerning behaviour, and it was all taxpayer-funded.

Sara Webb at Wansbroughs was extremely helpful when I bought my last flat.
