Unfortunately found myself in womens aid accomodation in 2022 and two of the day time staff there in particular where a total disgrace and should never be anywhere near women who have experienced trauma/abuse. I was so unwell at the time I did not log a complaint but definitely should have. Side note I do not use drugs or alcohol nor did I disrespect or raise my voice to any staff member just to make that absolutely clear, respected everyone yet did not receive it back from the two people I'm referring to.
So just a message to womens aid please actually train all of your staff on how to treat women who have been abused and traumatised because more often than not it didn't start with our partners! It started long before in childhood with our parents, so by the time we are in our 20s/30s even beyond that age we have never been loved or cared for in our entire lives, only experienced chaos and need responsible females who will respect and look after us in this vulnerable position and not abuse us further.
Thanks
