After a poor experience at their Bruntsfield branch I gave this one a try. The space is cute and the coffees (flat white) were better executed by a friendly female barista, but the problem remains the coffee. It is simply of mediocre quality. The problem is that it is sold at speciality prices.

While the service was nice and the coffee good, we were very disappointed with the pastries we ordered. The cinnamon bun and almond croissant both were extremely dry! It seemed like they were 1-2 days old and/or had been defrosted. Unfortunately the worst cinnamon bun we ever had. And for that definitely too expensive! The new Yorker and quiche were good. Still, a lot of room for improvement.....
