Can't recommend Lorne House enough! The location is great- a beautiful little village with pubs, restaurants, and cafes. It's a short drive to Bath (or you can take a bus). The rooms are very comfortable, and the hosts are lovely and available for any recommedations or questions. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic local option just outside of Bath. Extremely friendly, helpful and informative hosts, Bob and Liz. Big delicious breakfasts. Super comfy bed and really spacious bathroom. Highly recommended!

We are a group of 16 friends, having known one another for 47 years and now spread out across the country. Every year we like to find a house that can accommodate us all in a part of England we haven't yet explored. Lorne House was perfect; with ensuite bedrooms, a dining room to seat us all and a kitchen with excellent facilities. The village has a good Indian restaurant and a number of pubs with local shops nearby. We visited several well-known attractions, which we could also reach by bus if we didn't feel like driving. All in all, we had a great time. Thank you Liz and Bob. Jane

I enjoyed the night I stayed there very much. The rooms are immaculate and nicely decorated. The house is very quiet and have a lovely lounge and dining room. The location is close to Bath and some very nice villages in Wiltshire and those areas.

Stopped here on way back from Cornwall and had a great stay and the breakfast was gorgeous. Good location for being just outside of Bath as an alternative.

This is an attractive old house in a straggly village a short distance from Bath. Our twin room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The shower room was quite small; one night water pressure was low, but it was generally quite luxurious.||We were at the front overlooking the main (A4) road, which was not ideal, but the road is less busy than might be expected as most traffic goes on the M4.||Breakfast was delicious, with a good choice of cooked dishes.||Proximity to Bath is the main thing here, we travelled by bus (frequent service). The stop for the ride towards Bath is a short walk on the other side of the road. Coming back it is important to ask for the "Basset" stop, and then walk back to the house.||Finding a place to eat in the evening was difficult, as many places are closed at the beginning of the week. We found it better to eat in Bath.||Friendly, helpful people, with good knowledge of Bath and other places to visit.

We stayed at Lorne House as a group of 18 for my sister's hen do and we had a brilliant weekend. Beforehand, both Bob and Liz were so responsive and helpful, answering all my questions and sending over lots of information, helping us to plan the perfect weekend for my sister. ||The house itself is absolutely beautiful and all the bedrooms were perfectly set up and really comfortable - a lot of the group kept commenting on how comfy the beds were! We spent a lot of the weekend at the house (the heavy rain scuppered our plans for a walk!) and the living spaces (kitchen, sitting room, dining room and balcony) were perfect for such a big group. We were able to host a wine tasting and cater for 2 dinners all within the house without feeling like we were cramped in. ||All in all it was a wonderful weekend and I would highly recommend Lorne House as a venue for a weekend in the Cotswolds.

We had a lovely one night stay in room 4, the room was clean and tidy, with all the necessities that you require.||We preordered our breakfast, I had porridge and my partner went for a full Wiltshire. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked.||We will be booking again for the next time we visit the area in November. ||Very friendly host and excellent location for visiting Bath or Chippenham.||Thank you.
