Had the Pleasure of having a taste of the BBQ food at the Bold Forester.
Amzzzzzzzzzing, very tasty and plentiful. Some of our group choose to pick from the menu. Also very pleased, so a BIG thumbs up and thank you for a great afternoon .

Some of the food is nice but some of the food is not of a great standard my mother had the pea fritters and they were terrible I I had to stay quiet and it was good and the mash was nice as well. By far the best thing about this pub was the service the girls who serve me very attentive and helpful thank you. Also they made me an ice cream sundae and when it came they forgot to put the cream on top when I asked for it they put some cream on top talk to you need to ask for cream on top of a Sundae?

Staff lovely. Disappointed with the my food pie of the day .3/11/25. A bit runny. Too rich and something on my plate was very salty. The chips were great .TBH a bit disappointed as i was looking forward to a nice pie not a runny stew with puff pastry on . The Toilet room needs an update and the toilet was full of poo and paper . The hand-wash was empty . I won't go there again

Shame really, there is a nice feel to the pub initially, although the tables are very close together and seats are a bit uncomfortable, it feels cramped. The food is questionable, some meals are ok, some not so, very inconsistent. The worst thing overall is the price, drinks are very expensive, more than other pubs I frequent. It feels like it could do with a good clean up.

What a fantastic pub this is!!
Visited with my family for a Sunday Roast for my girlfriend's birthday. Staff were all lovely and attentive! Food was great. Atmosphere was ideal for a cold, winter Sunday.
And may I make note that it was so refreshing to see the owners speaking to and treating the staff well. Rubs off on customers well - and is a fundamental basic that far too many other establishments get wrong.

Lamb shank was great!! Sunday roast was slightly small but very tasty. Will be back again soon, thanks for looking after us guys.

Absolutely love this place! Was so welcoming and cozy!! The food was amazing and MASSIVE! we even brought in our big XL bully which we was very worried about judgement due to the law but they was soooo lovely and kind it really put us at ease!!

5 stars will DEFINITELY come again!

Amazing service, the food was incredible.
We booked an inside table for dinner and were given the option to change to the lovely garden. If you sit outside you have to order and pay at the bar.
Food was served really quickly and was absolutely delicious. The staff were really friendly, professional and efficient.
