I always stay at the Ipswich Central Travelodge when going to see IpswichTown play at home. The hotel is just a few minutes away from Portman Road, so has some great views of the stadium, fan zone and you can even see the players arriving if you have a room on the right side of the hotel. The hotel is clean and tidy though out. All the double rooms have air conditioning, king size beds and tea and coffee making facilities. The staff are all very polite and friendly. Will the hotel manager always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a comfortable stay and nothing is too much trouble for him. The hotel bar is always worth a trip with a good friendly atmosphere before and after the match and the drinks are reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel to all my friends and family. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into town or the beautiful quayside which has some lovely bars and restaurants.

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst attending festival of wheels. Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Air con in the room was great. Only downside was thr cleanliness... the shower was dirty with hairs in, the shower curtain had brown stains on, the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and there was no soap for washing hands... the dispenser was empty. The tea / coffee tray was dirty and full of grime. Lovely room and lovely stay, bed was lovely and comfortable. Just the cleanliness could be a bit better...

was served a cracking pizza late by a gentleman called Charlie. Really nice smart young bloke. The stay was very relaxing and cheap too I felt that the value for money is something that makes people stay at traveleoge. I definitely recommend for short stays when coming to Ipswich.

I know it's a Travelodge, so I'm not expecting anything particularly high-end, but I was expecting better for the price they charge. The bathroom had such a strong smell of urine that would not go away. I was gutted to have not brought shower gel because the box on the shower wall with "shower gel" seemed to just be water. The room also came with random noises that woke us up throughout the night. Staff were friendly and it was close to the station, but they are the only things of note

Very friendly Staff … clean hotel … fantastic rates .. next door to Ipswich football club .. Reasonable parking charges… looks like either a new hotel or they have done it up .. have stayed at premier inn a lot .. But 32.00 per night . You can’t go wrong ..would I stay Again definitely

Stayed here for 2 nights . It's a great location right next to the football club. You could see the ground from the room. Close to transport links and town. comfy rooms with great air conditioning. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

This hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in! I am shocked by some of the reviews I have read here ? Our room was unclean, with hairs from previous guests in the bed and bath. The shower dispenser was not working. The receptionists were rude and unhelpful. There was no iron or hair dryer available. When we requested our room to be cleaned, we were informed that rooms are only cleaned every 7 days ? The floor in the dining area was extremely dirty! And the breaksfast was appaling. I have never experienced a hotel like this before! I know it’s a standard hotel but cleanliness and good customer service should be the bare minimum. I will not be coming back for sure!

Room was cold no.matter what o did with thermostat. The breakfast was a little limited but plenty of it. Location was good not overly impressed with having to oay for parking for thr night onto of hotel cost
