An incredibly disappointing stay with failure after failure! I had requested that flower petals were sprinkled in the room as a birthday gesture for my boyfriend, but this request was not fulfilled, and I had to awkwardly ask for a refund at the front desk. The mattress was rock hard, resulting in back pain during our 2-night stay, which is unusual for my age. The bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guest's stay, a basic housekeeping oversight. The pillows were yellowed and severely worn, the kettle had mould around the top and was full of water, the carpet in the room was unkempt in need of updating, there was black mould around all of the windows and single paned so the room was freezing throughout the night. The room generally looked like it hadn't been cleaned. The hallway and lobby towards the room also met these unclean standards with several spider nests located in the corners and mysterious stains on the carpet throughout. I had booked a round of golf on the 18 hole and buggy hire over the phone a week prior, but when we arrived, the booking did not exist, forcing us to wait for the next available tee time with no offer of a complimentary drink or discount. We had gone away for a nice relaxing stay with a break from early mornings but instead was woken up at 7am both mornings by the sound of grounds maintenance mowing the lawns. Additionally, the jacuzzi, one of the hotel's key amenities, was not functioning. We addressed all of these issues with the lady on reception but she didn't want to hear it and just kept repeating that no-one ever has a bad experience, nothing like the customer always being right? Perhaps a suggestion that the staff should stay a few nights and see what the guests have to endure. Overall, it was an awful experience, and we will for sure to chose a more reliable hotel, such as a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn and considering the cost of the stay we'll be left with change!

Stayed for a golf weekend. The course was in great condition. The room was small but was fit for purpose. Made use of the pool and spa facilities, which were nice and clean. Would recommend.

The reception staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. |Our stay was spoiled by the food & drink offerings. On our first evening we headed to the bar. It's a lovely spot to sit out but customer service was lacking. The white wine was warm (we were offered ice in the glass to cool it down) and the same drinks cost different prices on 3 seperate rounds. Wine glasses were dirty too. |Breakfast wasn't much better, certainly not worth the price. Not necessarily worthy of a complaint, but certainly nothing special. Cheap ingredients and not much choice. Coffee machine wasn't working, which apparently is normal, but staff sorted hot drinks form the bar. We discovered that the local garden centre does amazing breakfasts, wish we'd known earlier.|We should have considered that being a golf club, the groundsmen would be working, We were woken at 7.20am with a lawnmower right outside our window. Our weekend away lie in didn't happen.

Our room was lovely. Great sized double bed, rainfall shower, clean and spacious. Little touches were left in our room for our anniversary including a card and complimentary drinks. ||Fantastic amenities, the wonderful spa, swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, golf course and tennis courts keep you busy.||The only downside here was the buffet breakfast, which wasn't the best.||The staff were all wonderful ❤️ ||Will definitely revisit!

We had a brilliant nights stay & thought the service was exceptional. Stayed in the garden suite, it was lovely. Breakfast was great & on the table within 10 minutes of sitting down. Can’t comment on the evening meals as we went out for dinner but overall everything was great, We would definitely stay again!

SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND HEALTH! ||Travelled 6 hours to turn up to a hotel that’s absolutely filthy! However the manager see’s no wrong doing in this. ||We checked in around 15:00 to find walking into our room it was left full of the previous guests rubbish, the room hadn’t been cleaned. They stated they had hired 2 new staff members and this wasn’t acceptable. They had offered to change our room for the night but to then to check out for 11 the following day to go back to that room at check in at 3pm which with an 8 month old baby wasn’t practical and we were at a wedding the following morning. The head of house keeping (really lovely lady) couldn’t apologise enough and came and cleaned those up immediately. These were soft drink cans , rubbish, used tissues, milk spillages down the desk etc.||However once we started inspecting the room further it really wasn’t fit for purpose. The room was filthy! There was mold in the bedroom which had transferred onto my brand new dress for a wedding (we hadn’t noticed this until the morning of the wedding) which resulted in us staying elsewhere. we were not going to stay in the room full of mold with a baby. We had been breathing this in. It wasn’t safe it was a health hazard. ||The manager wasn’t phased by this, they were fully booked and in her words ‘you booked a standard room, the rest are deluxe and the rest will be updated soon’. Standard room is fine, doesn’t mean cleanliness shouldn’t be there. The room had absolutely no standards. Very quick to take your money, not willing to give it back! ||Due to us being here for a wedding, there was lots of guests staying, a handful of complaints were made for the state of rooms. They did deny this also when brought up to them. when my partner returned our key card it was said the mold was never discussed which it was and at the time currently in my dress she was shown and shown pictures. ||For the safety of my baby we booked a premier inn down the road, much cheaper, really clean and a friendly team. ||Save your money and find elsewhere to go! 100% don’t recommend this hotel. ||The pictures speak for themselves- doesn’t even deserve 1 star.

We booked to stay here for 2 nights in a standard room & had issues with our room when we arrived (which were out of their control ) . The manager Barry resolved it quickly & made sure we were upgraded to a deluxe room . We have just came back a second time and the staff were brilliant ! They were friendly , the food service was quicker , the food itself was lovely & would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to stay here !

This is my 2nd time of visiting and was disappointed. The room windows was blown and dirty. Think these need an update. The noise and couldn't tell where it was coming from In the evening it was a mechanical noise was horrendous. The jacuzzi was so hot couldn't go in it. The food was OK took too long to get it.
The breakfast some was overcooked and cold. There was an event where some children were very disrespectful and caused an unpleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and polite . Overall wasn't a pleasant stay.
