Lovely warm welcome on arrival. A bit shocked to be charged £10 for parking as the very limited parking is privately owned. The hotel doesn't have it's own car park. |Hotel had a nice atmosphere and my room was very nice overlooking the river. Bed super comfortable with nice linen and pillows. Great bathroom and walk in shower.|All very clean.|When I returned from meeting friends in Ipswich the carpark was full and I was then directed to a council pay and display car park on the other side of the river and then had to walk over a bridge to get to hotel. Wouldn't want to do this if it was bad weather |Breakfast was really good. There was a huge spread of yogurts, breads, fruit and seeds. Hot offering less appetising as it looked like it had been on for a while.|A lovely hotel but limited on site parking was an issue for me.

What a wonderful hotel to stay at! Location only 5 minutes walk from Ipswich station. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. They took note of my special requests which not all hotels do. A superb wet room, my request to put the tea making facilities on a surface I could reach without bending was met and they even gave me a cup of fresh milk when I told them I don't like the uht milk! Bed was extremely comfortable and I had a really good night's sleep. Breakfast was an amazing experience and a big shout out to Sara working in the kitchen and Shamal. When I went to get some cereal there wasn't any Weetabix (my favourite). I expressed my disappointment to Sara and next thing I know she is at my side with 2 weetabix she had found. I could have kissed her! While I was eating my hot meal Shamal came on duty and very kindly brought me an extra cup of tea and heated up my pain au chocolate. The helpfulness of those two staff members brought tears to my eyes I was so grateful. It is those little extra things thst make such a difference and if I am in Ipswich again I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Visited this location a few years ago, and the service has significantly improved. Staff seem to be more happy and eager to assist. Previously there were issues encountered. I had no issues during my visit this time, the staff were all happy to help, and the atmosphere was very good. Only slight improvement is shower pressure and heat, but otherwise all was very good.

Had a good five night stay here. Rooms were very clean and restocked each day. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast had some excellent choices and was of good quality. It’s a shame there’s no fridge or safe in room, and only two coat hangers - would expect these with this star of hotel. Bar/Restaurant area was really stylise - and again, staff were fantastic.

We had a quiet stay in room 249. Comfortable, good size, roomy shower. No river v view, which was a shame but we are on a tight budget...There are no rooms with baths in this hotel. We had a drink outside near the river and the river walk into the town centre is pleasant.|Supplies were a bit stingy for tea and coffee but more can be had at the bar/reception. One small bottle of water for 2 guests didn't stretch and they wanted to charge us 3.40 for another - this is my only beef. Other than that, pleased with everything and it was convenient for the train station.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped us deal with parking when we arrived. £10 for 24 hours. The sign outside says £5 until a set time then £10 after that - come inside and speak to the staff as upon check in you will pay for 24 hours. ||The pillows are very soft so you may wish to speak to them if you like a firmer pillow. As we were staying for one night we didn’t ask about this. ||In the evening we had a drink and played pool, which is free and ordered some food. You can also play darts for free. I had asked about allergies related to food but after ordering we were told that the Korean chicken contained dairy so we couldn’t eat it, they offered a refund or replacement drinks which we accepted. The allergies are listed on their online menu however check at the bar also the Korean chicken seemed to have an error. ||The room was very clean and had a decent shower with two settings - overhead rain shower and a normal shower head. ||We paid £14.50 each for the breakfast buffet which had a wide selection of cooked food such as sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, bread for toasting, fruit, yogurts, cereal, range of milks, cold meat, pastries, donuts, cake, baguette and a selection of spreads and juices they also had vegan butter and salted butter.||Overall a good place to stay when in Ipswich, lovely view out onto the river and close to the football stadium if here for football. The city centre is approximately 20 minute walk with lots of restaurants and bars a close walk away.

we stayed some time ago, rooms are clean and satisfactory.

fondly remember wanting a drink and being told they could serve us drinks in 30 minutes. we waited as we were in no hurry, only to be told we needed to wait 30 minutes further. while waiting there was a commotion, heavily drunk and intoxicated group of men banging in guests doors, and then came the heavy police presence, at which point we took our leave as we had had enough.

all in all just a bitter experience. in terms of a place to stay, given the clientele it seemingly attracts.

Good value hotel in an excellent location near to the railway station, town centre and marina. Very clean, attentive staff and breakfast was a good quality. Only drawback is there is noise from the adjacent road and railway. The windows are good at soundproofing, but not that good. That said with ear plugs it wasn't a problem.
