We popped in for hot drinks and cake. The coffee was good and drinks reasonably priced but over £5 for a slice of lemon drizzle! Nothing wrong with the cake but felt a bit diddled for something fairly simple. Ask the price when choosing your cake as they’re not shown.

Normally decent cafe with ok pricing, but feeling thoroughly ripped off after being charged £12 for these two thin slices of cake to take away. Not even particularly good cake! Won’t be coming back

Usually a friendly and welcoming cafe, this time it felt different, nobody looked happy inside including customers. It appeared dirty. We noticed a staff member who also works at Ensieme so we decided to leave without ordering as we were worried about the food and service we were about to receive.Edit: definitely think we dodged a bullet after now reading recent reviews.

Great cafe - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was tasty and nicely presented - other people’s food also looked good- and the tea came in a pot with enough for three cups.

Loos were clean (but no paper towels for hand drying) as was the whole cafe.

Very fairly priced and great value.

Nice place, nice people but the worst food I've ever not eaten. Eggs were raw in Benedict, bacon well over cooked and kippers were burnt and a poached eggs was raw

Visited this morning around 10 20 am and ordered a peppermint tea, large cappuccino, gluten free chocolate cake and a slice of coffee cake. I was charged £23.70!! The waiter refused to admit a mistake had been made when queried...seems obvious to me that I was charged for 3 slices of cake when we only ordered two. How on earth could 2 drinks and 2 slices of cake cost that much? Daylight robbery.

We come here each summer holiday but obviously something has changed. We just had coffee & scones. Coffee ok although my partners flat white didn’t fill the cup. The scones were ok but not brilliant (unlike previous visits)served with no butter, only jam. Seemed very quiet whereas it’s always been very busy in the past.
