This is a café that we had wanted to visit during our last two trips to Bristol. I had read reviews about their maritozzi buns, which typically sold out quickly. Finally, on 9 June 2025, we managed to drop by for coffees and the pastries that have become synonymous with this Italian-Turkish café.

The owner, who is of Turkish descent, chatted with us during our visit. The pastries showcased strong Turkish influences. We tried the borek—a pastry filled with spinach and white cheese—which was so delicious that we ordered a larger one to share. The coffee was superb, made with beans from northern Italy according to the owner. This is certainly a café I'll visit again when I'm next in Bristol as I missed the maritozzi buns, yet again. They are only sold on Wednesdays and Thursdays and sold out very quickly.

From coffee to dessert, everything is fantastic and affordable, especially those with chocolate (such as the lovely biscuits) or cream (for example, Orange Cake and Maritozzo). Pizza every Friday is also tasty and cheap

Absolutely loved their Maritozzi. I wanted to eat this for so long. Finally found it. A bit costly but absolutely fresh and yum. I went there around 9AM so I got to see a tray full of deliciousness. Loved it.

I like going there before long office hours to treat myself in the mornings. I really appreciate that they bring their own culture—like börek, tahinli kurabiye, and Italian maritozzi buns and pizza days! It feels rare nowadays to find a café offering homemade pastries, which makes this place unique. Their coffee is always great. I also liked their new green paint—it brings energy to the street during the grey days in Bristol.

Another great local business, coffee and cookies were great 👍 if you are in the area must try this place out. I believe it’s a couple who run it or own it. I generally go to a local coffee shop rather than chain.

Hidden away from the main streets, this small but cosy café will surprise you with a delicious and unique menu, high quality tea and coffee and impeccable hospitality. I would recommend reserving a spot for the Saturday morning Turkish breakfast.
I tried the vegan version and it was delicious. There is a lot of care and attention in the presentation and so much kindness and warmth in the service. I would definitely recommend this café!

A lovely small cafe - i tried iced tea and tahini biscuit. I loved the biscuit, so different and tasty. It reminded me of this samolina cookie from back home which is called ‘khatai’. I also ordered the famous cream donut to go, which was delicious, fresh, & surprising light.
